Osteria Bar I Tre Ponti di Sonia — Restaurant in Re

A pleasant surprise as we stopped here on our way to Lugano. The owners did not speak much english and communicated through google translate. But despite this they were very friendly and the food was so tasty. As per their recommendation, we tried the veal milanese and tortellini which was served with a big bowl of salad and bread..yum!

They also warned us about the road closure at 1:30pm and hurried us out of their restaurant and asked the workers to keep the road open until we go through. Very much appreciated!!!

This is a lovely restaurant just after the picturesque village of Re with the amazing church. Four of us shared a bread basket, one meat and one cheese platter then we all enjoyed a pasta dish, tagliatelle, ravioli and gnocchi with a bottle of the best red wine and a bottle of water. The price was 25 Euro per head (without wine 20 Euro) and the food is delicious with great service. We sat on the terrace enjoying the lovely views. This is our second stop in Re and we would strongly recommend this...

Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di trovarci tutta la famiglia di Sonia. La figlia Adelasia in sala, Il figlio al bar, il marito preciso tuttofare e Sonia Chef ai fornelli. Un bel menù di 1 pagina secca, segno di attenzione alla freschezza degli ingredienti, extra menu e piatti non disponibili (1) comunicati subito con gentilezza e precisione. E' la prima volta che ci siamo andati ma ci sono andato ad occhi chiusi conoscendo Sonia e la lunga storia di ristoratori della sua famiglia. La cena è stata un piacere, antipasto di affettati, primo di gnocchi ( di castagne e alle ortiche ) e secondo con arrosto in salsa di castagne, tutto squisito, fresco e ben presentato. Figlia e nipoti,15enni, che ahimè preferiscono pizza e sushi alla cucina italiana, con qualche piccolo suggerimento degli adulti e le lasagne fuori menù, sono rimaste molto soddisfatte. I prezzi non sono i più bassi in assoluto, ma non resterete nemmeno dolorosamente sorpresi, parliamo di primi tra 9 e 12 euro e secondi poco più costosi. Il rapporto qualità prezzo però è veramente ottimo, da ritornarci sicuramente. P.S. La polenta è ottima, Sonia la cucina da quando era piccola, ma scegliete i piatti del menu, che difficilmente troverete negli altri ristoranti e, se in inverno vorrete provare qualcosa di veramente locale, telefonate e prenotate con congruo anticipo la pasta rustida oppure, supplicando ;-) , la polenta concia ... che non ha niente a che fare con quella del biellese e...
