We happened upon this restaurant as we wandered the alleys of Reggio Emilia. Being pleasantly surprised with the option of enjoying Roman food we decided on having lunch there. Our waitress was fantastic, as our Italian is a work in progress, she gladly spoke with us in English and Italian. She recommended a wonderful white wine which paired perfectly with our meal. Our antipasti was lightly fried baby artichokes and also lightly fried pecorino wedges served with honey. The batter is light with a mild flavour allowing the fresh produce to shine despite being fried. Our pasta plates were offered in two sizes; the traditional Roman standard of 200 grams or a smaller portion which was perfect as I had a dessert in mind. We had the traditional pasta dishes of Spagetti alla Carbonara and Pasta alla Gricia, both divine and cooked to perfection. My husband making it a personal challenge of trying every offer of carbonara for comparison. We finished off our meal with an apple tart (sorry cannot remember the name) which was made without flour....gorgeous. Needless to say, it was a thoroughly enjoyable meal and looking forward to next trip there.

We were hoping for some amazing pasta and the online menu had artichoke appetizers listed. Unfortunately it wasn’t artichoke season. Staff was friendly. We arrived at 8:00pm on a Thursday with no reservation so had to sit inside. They had an English menu but much of the print was missing so hard to read. We were Not expecting an English menu, but if you are going to do one, please do it well. We ordered the carbonara, ravioli, and the rigatoni. Pasta wasn’t quite cooked enough for us and the sauce was a bit bland. The fried cheese with honey was ok, but not hot all the way through. Don’t get me wrong, the place was busy and lots of people ordering. It just didn’t hit the mark for us. Family of three.

If you’re looking for a delicious pasta dish in Reggio Emilia-look no further! The cacio e pepe is truly unforgettable. With just the right thickness of noodle, incredible amount of flavor and cheese, this entree is simply mouthwatering and you’ll finish every bite. Best served in the large portion and with a glass of Prosecco. The owner/manager was amazing and the service was kind, quick and very friendly! I am grateful to have stopped by and recommend you do also! Godere!!!

Esperienza complessivamente deludente.
