Ristorante Villa Dome Reggio Emilia — Restaurant in Reggio nell'Emilia

This restaurant was recommended by the staff at my hotel Holiday Inn Express, and I’m glad I followed their suggestion. It’s conveniently located less than a mile away and offers a cozy, inviting ambience. They have separate seating arrangements for groups and regular diners, and the place is also pet-friendly, which is a nice touch.

I ordered zucchini, mushroom risotto, and vegetarian risotto. The chef was very accommodating and understood our preferences perfectly. Instead of serving individual portions, he thoughtfully prepared everything on a large shared platter, making it easier for us to taste and enjoy together.

Although I’m not very familiar with Italian cuisine beyond the usual pizzas and pastas, I genuinely enjoyed trying these traditional dishes. While I couldn’t finish all of it, I appreciated the flavors and the opportunity to experience something different.

The owner was very unfriendly, place is surely not comfortable or inviting. We were very hungry so decided to stay, sadly it was a wrong decision. When food arrived it was simply not eatable. We ordered 2 pastas: first came in a puddle of oil strongly undercooked with flavor of something that is far from appetizing. Da evitare. Vedo un parcheggio all'ombra, di libero accesso, senza sbarre o altro, comunicante con quello del ristorante adiacente. Parcheggio l'auto ma esce subito il titolare agitato che mi minaccia di chiamare il carro attrezzi se vado al solito ristorante adiacente (e pensare che proprio oggi ero curioso di provare questo ristorante..) Non sente ragioni quindi chiamo la polizia locale e continua ad urlare, mi spinge con il petto contro la spalla. Gli spiego che è un parcheggio privato ad uso pubblico, come confermano i vigili urbani al telefono. Urla che ha speso 1milione e 600 mila per fare i parcheggi, che siamo deficienti ed ignoranti. Sposto l'auto per evitare danneggiamenti ed aspetto la polizia locale. Alle 13,55 arriva la polizia e improvvisamente il lupo diventa un agnellino: ora il titolare parla a bassa voce e non interrompe gli agenti mentre parlano. Improvvisamente si è ricordato di essere cardiopatico e di avere bisogno di non agitarsi ( mentre prima cercava la rissa colpendomi con il petto e cercando di venirmi vicino vicino) Ora è disponibile a fornite ogni documentazione e ad aspettare civilmente la decisione della polizia locale.
