Gianni was super amazing in receiving our family in his B&B/Restaurant in Posticciola. We originally wanted to stay in Castel di Tora but given there was no availability anywhere there we chose his B&B and it turned out the best option for us! The road trip around the lake made us discover in numerous little places and restaurants, also gave us the chance to got forward to other villages in the direction of Rieti. It's a no frills B&B and the rooms are spacious and during summer they were nice to sleep with the quietness of the village. Read moreWe stayed in the area for a month and tried most of the restaurants, and this one was our favorite. The food was simply excellent, and the owners were sweet and caring, even though we are clearly foreigners and couldn’t speak proper Italian.
Our only caveat is that the staff can sometimes be overwhelmed during busy hours. For example, after finishing the second course, we waited quite a while before anyone came to clear the table and take our dessert order. We also would have ordered more wine and water, but the waiters were too busy to check in.
