What a lovely surprise!

It is very difficult to find a place to eat in October and therefore we were happy that the family run restaurant invited us in, even though he hosted a privat party.

Not judging a book by its covers, should be title of the restaurant. Even though the exterior and interior might not be as inviting, the food is lovely.

The owner warmly tended to our vegetarian needs and offered us a lovely antipasti plate with fresh vegetables fried in dough coating. Then we were offered home made pasta (made a la minute) with sage in...

Quando arrivi al ristorante ti accorgi subito che sicuramente ci sono cose da aggiornare, l'esterno sembra un po' abbandonato, l'intero ricorda un po' le coloniche di 40/50 anni fa, l'odore di camino, i muri un po' scuro di fumo ma tutto molto familiare. Siamo arrivati all'ora di pranzo, all'interno della sala ci sono circa una dozzina di clienti, arriva il cameriere e ci porta un foglio con il menù! Ordiniamo antipasto misti (affettati, crostini, giardiniere e salvia fritta) , un primo a testa pici al cinghiale e tortelli al burro e salvia e poi ci facciamo portare un assaggio di fritto misto! La cucina molto tradizionale ma buona, forse ci sarebbe da investire e crederci un po' di più, perché come ci diceva il titolare sono lui e sua mamma in cucina e quando c'è più gente hanno una persona in più, però se uno vuole andare fuori a pranzo per non mangiare le stesse cose che può mangiare a casa propria, questo non è il suo posto! This is a traditional family run trattoria. Honest food at a very reasonable price. We had starter to share, pappardelle, ravioli, chicken and arista, roasted potatoes and fried vegetables. All delicious and with authentic taste. If you have some space left go for the zuppa...
