Not sure what happened with this review of mine - wrote the longest one to date and it has vanished and the owner thinks I have given a bad review, when in fact it was the best one from me to date. I will try again. Do make a reservation!!! I tried to have a walk-in dinner the other night and Federica whom greeted us had to ask the kitchen if they could serve us. Although the reason was understandable - they had not prepared for extra guests and did not want to serve food that was not prepared to their standards - I was bit disappointed, but decided to make a reservation for the next day, for 3 people anyhow. I also told them that one of us (myself) eats no animal products and they noted it without any attitude (like is often the case in this area because of the traditional cuisine does not have many dishes where no animal products are used). Next day when we arrived, Federica welcomed us warmly and led us through well designed dining room to outdoor patio where our beautifully set table awaited us. The location itself it’s worth a visit —overlooking stunning Langhe wine hills with the Alps in the backdrop and while you dine, the sun slowly sets behind Monviso. Simply heavenly! The menu seemed to be similar to the beloved local cuisine with little twist. All three of us decided to have different dishes so we could have variety of tastes to try. And oh boy - variety we got! Already when we were served chefs welcome bite our tastebuds exploded and we were craving for more with excitement. And we were not disappointed....with each dish it simply got better and better. All the flavors were delicate, yet amazingly present and masterfully paired with ingredients that make up the traditional Langhe cuisine. The textures of every dish were also perfection - crunchiness, silliness and juiciness all in right place. Absolutely delicious!!! We did not have dessert, but i have no doubt in my mind that they would be every bit as good as everything else they serve. I am so delighted to have Uri in my neighborhood to shake up the traditional cuisine a little bit. While the latter deservedly is considered one of the best cuisine in the world, a little new take on it is just making it richer all in all. At the moment it is my favorite restaurant in the area and I highly recommend you to go —- and don’t forget to make a reservation!!! Thank you Federica & Kim for this wonderful dining experience!!! Can’t wait to visit you guys very...
Read moreWhat a night! A beautiful set restaurant on a the edge of a hill top, overlooking the rolling hills across the local vineyards and farms - enjoy dinner and a great view of the sunset. As global travellers, my wife and I are always in the hunt for new fusion restaurants and this place did not let us down. A simple 3 option menu, as vegetarians, we were extremely happy there was a green veggie option available. Based on a farm to table concept, we were served 5 courses of small tapas style Italian and Korean dishes. With simple presentation, each and every dish was crafted with great mastery, with a burst of flavours! If you’re around in the area, add this restaurant to your list and enjoy the cool experience, you’ll be in for a...
