We had been to Pano Food & Wine a couple of times two years ago for lunch and were really impressed, so when my Italian partner and I were looking for somewhere to have an Aperitivo to celebrate her birthday with friends and children, we thought it would be a great choice.
First impressions were as we remembered: the location is fantastic, the restaurant is beautiful and modern, and the playground is brilliant for children. Unfortunately, cracks quickly began to show.
We were told we could arrive from 6pm and were shown to our table, but then nothing happened. After 15 minutes we tried to order at the bar, only to be told we had to order from the table. When no one came, we returned to the bar, where the bartender dismissively told us she’d serve us “when she was ready.” The restaurant was empty. It took around 30 minutes before we could finally place an order.
The view of the sunset was stunning, but the atmosphere was spoiled by blaring, tacky music that made it feel more like a campsite disco than the elegant restaurant it is. It was so loud indoors that it made conversation difficult and completely cheapened the setting.
The waiters at our table were polite and attentive, but the bartender’s attitude left a sour impression, with several of our guests remarking on how unwelcoming she was.
That said, the food and drinks were good, and the prices are reasonable. We’ve had much better experiences here in the past, so we’ll give it another try one day, hopefully this was just...

TLDR: Pano Food&Wine is a classic example of how many inexperienced folks start a culinary business in Rome. The place looks great, but the service is a mess and poorly managed. The manager is far from user-friendly, and her attitude towards the guests is just toxic.
Pano Food&Wine is in the country side just a few kilometers away from the city center. The location is perfect for spending a day in the nature with your kids. Be careful, as often it happens in Rome all that glitters is not gold.
So, picture this: you, your buddies, and your families were searching for an excellent place to hang out in nature and chow down on some tasty food. But when you went to Pano, you were pretty disappointed. The service was all over the place, and the staff seemed inexperienced and disorganized. Plus, the whole place was way understaffed. The food wasn't terrible, but it wasn't anything special either. Even if they had served a five-star meal, it wouldn't have made up for the fact that you had to wait over two hours for your first dish. The worst part was the manager reaction to the client complaints. She didn't try to listen and understand where they were coming from and argued inelegantly...

The portions were plentiful -see photos- and priced completely reasonable. And overall, the food was delicious! The timing of food delivery was off and the service was a bit slow but we could tell they were understaffed. The atmosphere is fantastic, great countryside views and lovely dining area. But the food was especially tasty, well seasoned, well cooked, and attractive on the plate. I will admit the bread was not good, not fresh at all. But starters, firsts, and seconds were all tasty. We had 3 bottles of wine, 3 appetizers, 2 firsts, and 4 seconds and paid around €60 per person. We recommend and...
