Hidden high in the Lessinia mountains at 1,420 meters, Rifugio Dosso Alto isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a home. The kind of place where the door creaks open to the smell of simmering stews and the sound of laughter, and you’re greeted like family, not a guest.
This is a true family-run refuge, where every dish is made with love passed down through generations. The warmth isn’t just in the food—it’s in the hands that prepare it, the smiles that serve it, and the stories that float through the dining room like the scent of rosemary and woodsmoke.
We started with fresh tagliatelle and local mushrooms—handmade pasta, cooked perfectly, with a delicate cream sauce and a dusting of Parmigiano. It was so full of flavor, you could taste the land. And of course, a glass of red wine from the region—rustic, bold, and honest, just like the mountains around us.
Every bite was comfort, every sip a memory in the making.
The team at Rifugio Dosso Alto isn’t just cooking—they’re welcoming you into their lives. The decor, simple and warm, reflects the mountain spirit: wood beams, stone walls, and the kind of calm that only nature and good people can bring. You don’t just eat here—you belong here.
Whether you’ve arrived from a hike, a ski trail, or just a scenic drive, this place wraps around you like a warm blanket. You leave with a full belly, a happy heart, and the strong desire to return.
Rifugio Dosso Alto is not only a place to eat—it’s a place to feel.

Read moreSiamo stati ieri a pranzo al rifugio, c’era anche l’evento summerland Music festival. Bel posto e personale molto cortese.
