Ristorante "Al Caminetto" — Restaurant in Saint-Denis

We really enjoyed the local food in this family runned restaurant. You could taste the freshness and love in their dishes. The service is amazing and friendly. If you have food allergies, you could call beforehand and they will serve you with the right dietary requirements and allergens are listed on their menu, which is amazing.

We spent about €90 for 2 for appetizers, primo, secondo, dessert and a bottle of wine.

Potessi dare 10 stelle le darei. Siamo capitati in questo locale vagando un po' a caso per la valle d'Aosta e mai scelta casuale fu più azzeccata. Il locale si trova abbastanza fuori mano, ma andarci apposta facendo qualche km in più ne vale assolutamente la pena. Il ristorante è piccolo, con un grande caminetto e un'atmosfera calda e molto accogliente e verrete accolti dal proprietario con una tale cortesia e gentilezza che vi sembrerà di essere stati invitati a cena in famiglia. Abbiamo provato piatti diversi tra antipasti, primi e dolci e non saprei dire quale fosse il più squisito. Ci sono nel menù piatti della tradizione valdostana, ma anche proposte molto particolari e interessanti da provare assolutamente (un esempio è il gelato al pane nero, mai e poi mai avrei pensato che diventasse il mio nuovo gelato preferito!). Ogni cosa è rigorosamente fatta in casa da loro con ingredienti provenienti dalle aziende del territorio come vi spiegherà accuratamente il proprietario, comprese le proposte dei vini molto molto interessanti. Visited here with two friends while on a trip through Italy. The food was phenomenal. Only bested by the kindness and friendless of the staff and the unbeatable view over the valley.
