We can’t say enough about the amazing time we had during our cooking class at Visconti. Jaynie and Leonardo went above and beyond for us! I had dined here on a previous trip and based on the food, the gorgeous paintings throughout (also created by the chef or chef’s father) and the amazing views from their terrace, I knew I wanted to go back. When I saw they offered cooking classes and other experiences, I knew it would be the right place to go.

During our private half-day class, our group of 4 made an amazing appetizer with zucchini directly from the chef’s garden and two kinds of fresh pasta from scratch, which then became two courses of pasta for our lunch. We also finished out with succulent saffron chicken and dessert (which we baked as well!) And once the cooking was mostly complete, the wine was flowing! Let’s say we all had a good nap afterward.

Leonardo’s expertise and the freshness of the ingredients add up to an incredible, abundant meal. Jaynie’s kindness makes you feel right at home. Kudos to them both for setting up something so wonderful. We’ll definitely see them next time we return to...

Warm, wonderful service from Leonardo. We were presented many homemade delights from the garden: pickled green beans, tiny sweet tomatoes for the bruschetta, and stewed quince that had the texture of custard and tasted of honeysuckle. We were served a variety of interesting local cheeses, including a smoked provolone, an exquisite creamy blue , fabulous mozzarella, and pecorino. My husband enjoyed the house cured salumi, and also had the pasta with tender wild boar. I chose a simple pasta with sauce made from Leonardo's tomatoes. The pasta was made fresh while we enjoyed the cheese board, and was simply divine. The chocolate cake was also homemade and irresistibly good. From the warm service, amazing atmosphere, jazz music, seasonal decor, art featuring local scenes painted by Leonardo's father... we were treated to a memorable meal and experience. Highly recommended and we will be back!...

My girlfriends and I loved it so much that we went back again and again during our few days in San Demetrio. First, for a daytime cooking school experience which was so fun to do as a group. Everyone had a great sense of humour but we also gained some important kitchen skills. We had lunch/dinner there three times. The food was spectacular and the hosts really make you feel like family/friends. Highly recommended and be sure to call for a reservation as it...
