Old city — Restaurant in San Donà di Piave

We came here to „just eat a good pizza”, but found place that made our Italian experience better we could even imagine.

You don’t go here just to eat. You go here to feel the great atmosphere, be treated like part of the family. Don’t expect fancy service here (which is great and you for sure will feel being cared about), expect to be talking with staff for long time and enjoying it. Expect your ice cream getting melted because you are interested into whatever staff have to say, surrounding and people more than your food.

If you are anywhere nearby and don’t visit this place you can consider you didn’t enjoyed your stay in Italy to the fullest. We even canceled our reservation in some fancy restaurant just to come here one more time!

And yeah, food, desserts, wine? They are also great, but that’s the atmosphere and people you will fall in love with.

Just the most amazing restaurant! From the moment we arrived to the second we left we were looked after like Kings. We arrived by boat and docked just opposite Old City. We visited the chocolatier next door first (which is owned by the same family) the chocolates were superb and the service was also wonderful. We were greeted like old friends by Francesco when we arrived in the evening to take up our booking. The food was glorious - the best pizzas we have ever eaten. Sourdough 36 hour fermented bases were light, crispy and tasty, the toppings were outrageously good and everything came quickly. Well what can I say. We are a British family who met Francesco whilst on holiday in lido di jesolo. He recommended we try his pizzeria and having had our own pizzeria previously, we were very excited to try. The place was beautiful, huge ! Staff very welcoming and of course Francesco made us feel welcome !! Young staff spoke very good English, which helped as our Italian is very basic . The food was so good !!
