Cantina de la Mirleta — Restaurant in San Felice del Benaco

Cantina de la Mirleta is probably my favorite restaurant of all time. Food is fantastic with regular changes to the menu. Authentic Italian restaurant with friendly staff (mainly Italian speaking with a little English but you get by) and wonderful Italian ambiance.

Eating with kids can be a little pricey, as its a top quality restaurant, however if I compare to home (Ireland) the value is excellent. If you are looking for chips and pizza or expecting American style portions, its not the place for you, but if you want to have one memorable night during your vacation - give it a whirl!

Entweder hatten wir immenses Pech bei der wechselnden Speisekarte oder der Koch hatte heute einen schlechten Tag in der Gruppentherapie. Das Ambiente ist zweifelsfrei wunderschön und entspricht zu 100% den Erwartungen, wenn man an ein kleines, verträumtes Städtchen denkt. Der Wirt selbst spricht gutes Englisch und bietet tollen, freundlichen Service. Für beides gibts einen extra Stern. Aber das Essen… das Essen entzieht sich gnadenlos jeglicher positiver Umschreibung. Es war einfach nur richtig schlecht. Nun mag es daran liegen, dass die Geschmäcker unterschiedlich sind. Und ich lasse mich auch darauf ein, dass nicht immer alles perfekt ist. Aber ein Wolfsbarsch ohne Geschmack der sich sich traurig um eine trockene Garnele wickelt… Tartar der selbst blumig und fantasievoll umschrieben einfach nur als fades „Hack“ zu beschreiben ist… wirklich gänzlich ungewürzt und mit Schwung an der Pestoschüssel vorbei geworfen wurde. Ich kann’s nicht anders sagen als: „Pfui deibel“

Fish & Chips waren in Ordnung und der Hase teilt diese Meinung.

Die Antipasti wiederum waren sehr lecker, wenn auch sehr überschaubar.

Alles in allem waren alle acht Gäste unserer Gruppe derselben Meinung: Lieber...
