We, a group of 6 people, were staying in an apartment nearby and wanted a break from cooking at the apartment. This restaurant was in walking distance from where we were staying so we gave it a shot.
We shared appetizers that were actually pretty good. After that it was pretty downhill. Mains arrived at separate times, some of us had finished their pizzas by the time the rest of the food arrived. Durante il rientro da un bellissimo tour tra Umbria e Toscana, io e alcuni amici con le nostre famiglie ci siamo fermati per una cena improvvisata all’Antica Trattoria Leonetto, a Pancole, vicino Siena. Un’autentica scoperta!
Siamo stati accolti con grande gentilezza e disponibilità, nonostante fosse una serata di venerdì e l’arrivo fosse non programmato. Il locale ha un’atmosfera calda e accogliente, perfetta per gustare piatti della tradizione toscana.
Il menù ha superato le nostre aspettative: piatti tipici della cucina locale preparati con grande cura e un tocco di eleganza gourmet, senza però snaturarne l’autenticità. Dalla pasta fatta in casa alle carni, tutto era saporito e ben presentato. Ottima anche la selezione di vini, con etichette locali perfette per accompagnare le portate.
Il rapporto qualità-prezzo ci ha piacevolmente sorpresi: onesto e proporzionato alla qualità offerta.

Straight forward and non pretentious restaurant adjacent to a hotel- I had one of the best sourdough onion pizzas I had in the whole of Italy my wife one of the pasta dishes.
