Osteria Antica Il Favri — Restaurant in San Giorgio della Richinvelda

Wonderful. We were welcomed with such warmth we immediately felt at home. I’m not sure the name of the head of the restaurant (I read Mauro in other reviews), but he was a delight. He was attentive and helpful with the menu. All staff were wonderful. They were relaxed and friendly.

Typical Friulano dishes with excellent ingredients. We started with the frico and polenta as an appetizer - hands down the best in the area. The fresh pasta used in the cacio pepe and mushroom pasta dish- was the best I have had in the year I’ve lived here. The gnocchi was beyond delicious and again perfectly executed. The pork cheeks were braised beautifully for an Italian “goulash”.

The ambiance was beautiful- no abrasive overhead lighting to ruin the rustic coziness. Just a warm glow of the fireplace and well placed soft lighting.

Come invitati ad un battesimo abbiamo avuto il piacere di pranzare in questo ristorante. Davvero una bellissima scoperta! Merita assolutamente una visita, magari dopo aver passeggiato tra i vigneti della zona per assaporare le offerte del territorio.

LOCATION: 8 il locale da fuori sembra quasi un po' trasandato, eppure una volta entrati si cambia totalmente impressione. L'ambiente é caldo, casalingo ma elegante, rustico e piacevole. Nota di merito per il bellissimo giardino interno, ampio e luminoso, che permette a questo ristorante di poter accogliere anche pranzi, celebrazioni e ricevimenti.

MENÙ: 9 il Favri propone una selezione dei sapori del territorio, specialmente della zona del Tagliamento ma che spazia a tutte le prelibatezze della regione, tanto che tra gli antipasti troviamo il triestino prosciutto cotto accompagnato dal kren. Ottimi i primi; tutta la pasta é fatta in casa, buonissimo il ragù casereccio. Secondi piatti davvero goloso e goduriosi, tra cui troviamo un ottimo frico. La materia prima a km 0 é trattata con maestria e rispetto. Ovviamente da sottolineare che tutto il menù é accompagnato da un'ottima selezione di vini anche questa di carattere regionale. Squisiti anche i dolci.

SERVIZIO: 9 personale gentile, cordiale e disponibile, a partire dal proprietario Mauro senza dimenticare le sue giovani collaboratrici in sala.

CONTO: - purtroppo come invitati ad un pranzo per un battesimo abbiamo mangiato come ospiti, per cui non siamo in grado di darvi una valutazione sul conto. Ma sicuramente date le caratteristiche e la proposta del locale ci sentiamo di dirvi che si spendono attorno ai €30-45 a persona. Assolutamente...

Osteria Antica Il Favri – ein kulinarischer Geheimtipp in Italien

Wir kamen auf Empfehlung unserer Gastgeber – und wären vermutlich einfach vorbeigefahren, denn von außen wirkt die Osteria eher unscheinbar. Lediglich die vielen Autos entlang der Straße ließen erahnen, dass hier etwas Besonderes wartet.

Ohne Reservierung bekamen wir noch einen Platz auf der Terrasse, an einer lauen Sommernacht. Die Speisekarte ist klein, übersichtlich und genau richtig, um sich auf das Wesentliche zu konzentrieren. Das Personal ist herzlich, aufmerksam und sichtlich bemüht, den Gästen einen schönen Abend zu bereiten.

Das Essen: perfekt zubereitete, regionale Spezialitäten mit viel Liebe gekocht, aus hervorragenden, frischen und hausgemachten Zutaten. Jeder Gang war ein Genuss – authentisch und unverfälscht.
