I Saraceni Restaurant — Restaurant in San Giovanni a Piro

Three out of four of us received our main dish, the staff simply forgot about the other one. When I asked if it was coming the waitress asked me to remind her what we had ordered! When it finally arrived, there was no word of apology! 😂 They also gave us sparkling water although we asked for still. On paying the bill, the owner was going to charge us in full and asked if everything was alright - I told him one of us had waited a long time - the owner then apparently knew immediately what the problem was, apologized and didn’t charge for that particular dish. However this didn’t really compensate for the fact the other three of us had to wait while our food got cold, nor for their general attitude of denial. Nice location, but unfortunately extremely pretentious and over-priced 😂 As I say, they've created a nice ambience amongst the olive trees with view over the pool and the valley beyond, and the tuna tartare starter and main dishes were quite tasty when we got around to eating them - but unfortunately this place behaves like a 3 Michelin star restaurant...

Expecting a lot from Italy.......unfortunately this B & B is not the greatest. Bedroom was clean with a nice view, but restaurant.........no. It's very difficult to get to and when you are there you don't want to go anywhere in your car ........so they have you kind of hostage. I ordered a steak and it came in pieces. Not the nicest cut either. Price was right,...

Welcome to the heart of Cilento! Great restaurant with a suggestive ambience: olive trees, soft light and view on the pool. Food is great with fresh ingredients and unusual combinations. Good wine. Kind and attentive service. Surprisingly low prices for such a gem....
