Ristorante Al Fortino Delle Fate — Restaurant in San Giovanni in Marignano

Located in the central of the village gorgeous place! Food was delicious but all over the place! We had sharing platter to start and it was delicious BUT the main’s arrived all different time! Some of us had to start eating as obviously will get cold and some of us waited half hr for our food! Just not right! We asked the waiter what’s going on and he replied we have a busy “surprising” evening!

Sorry when you book ahead don’t really want to have this experience! First bottle of white wine was delicious but second and third was corked! I did send back both but the “sommelier or owner” come to the table and argued that the wine is fine! We had to change wine as she didn’t agree with us at al. After all they charged us cover charge which is popular in Italy and I don’t have anything against it as long service and food is fine! For some strange reason we have experienced similar service in other places in Rimini where mains are served when ready and not together. Don’t get it why they do that! Complete rubbish. Second time here this week. Yes, they accommodated our group both times, when we didn't have reservations. Yes, they have english menus. Yes, the food is excellent and fresh....but only once you get it. Service is completely non existent here! Didn't bring one of our guests a wine glass, forgot our second bottle of wine. In addition to the minor mishaps, they brought another guest the wrong starter, and took nearly an hour to bring the other half of our table their second courses. Esperienza assurda e cena rovinata a causa di un servizio pessimo.

Al momento dell'ordinazione, scegliamo di prendere un antipasto di salumi. Non è accompagnato da piadina che ha un costo extra di 1€. Avevamo intenzione di ordinarla ma mentre facciamo l'ordine alla proprietaria questa ci dice "beh la piadina la prendete vero? coi salumi per forza..." Con l'atteggiamento di qualcosa di ovvio, obbligato, l'abbinamento salumi/piadina. Bene, se l'oste ritiene che l'antipasto di salumi che ha in carta debba necessariamente andare con la piadina, mi aspetto che sia inclusa come fa la stragrande maggioranza dei ristoranti romagnoli, e non che sia da pagare a parte e poi però mi fai passare per una che non ne capisce di cucina romagnola se non la ordino.

Ma andiamo avanti: arriva un cestino di pane, mentre ne mangio un pezzo mi accorgo che ci sono delle formiche dentro il cestino! Chiamiamo il cameriere che constata la situazione, va via e dopo un pò torna con un altro cestino. Prendo il pane e di nuovo! formiche dentro il cestino, sul fondo e intorno al pane. Noi intanto con la piadina avevamo finito il nostro antipasto tagliere, chiamiamo di nuovo il cameriere e gli mostriamo il cestino. Lui va via e non se ne sa più nulla. Passano 10 minuti e ci passa la voglia di mangiare. Chiamo il cameriere e gli chiedo se è possibile bloccare le successive portate perchè vogliamo andare via. Lui risponde che ci fa sapere e di nuovo il nulla. Allora ci alziamo, andiamo alla cassa, spieghiamo il tutto al proprietario e lui risponde che gli è stato riferito e che non se lo spiega (dice che forse sono cadute dagli alberi...che mira sempre dentro il cestino!!). Ma soprattutto, visto che è stato informato dai camerieri, possibile che non pensi di venire al tavolo a scusarsi!! Per di più, ci fa pagare l'antipasto, il coperto e l'acqua quando il minimo sarebbe stato non farci affatto...
