Al Soppalco — Restaurant in San Giovanni Rotondo

Fantastic restaurant. The food, service, staff, & ambiance are all wonderful! My husband & I went to dinner on a Sunday night at 8pm. It wasn’t packed, but there were still many patrons in & out so, I suggest making a reservation.

The food was phenomenal! We ordered the polpo for our antipasto. I had the tagliata di manzo (sliced beef) with caciocavallo & caramellized onions. My husband had the filetto ai carboni with a side of grilled veggies. Our waiter was super kind & was helpful in the wine selection to go with our meal based on our preferences. If you are staying in San Giovanni Rotondo, you must eat at this restaurant. The food, the staff, the wine, the restaurant in itself and the playlist (don’t get me started on the amazing playlist) are absolutely perfect. We went there three times with my family to dine as the menu has a lot of different options and it was just too good. We had both pasta, pizza as well as antipasti and everything was very tasty. It is by far one of the best places we discovered in Italy and I can only wholeheartedly recommend this place ! Sono un cliente abituale di questo locale, da più di 6 anni nel mese di novembre e dicembre sono stato 4 volte, ma sto notanto ultimamente, delle lagune enormi mi spiace molto perché conosco lo chef, ma in sala c'è poco attenzione al cliente servizio lento i camerieri non sono altezza del locale, mangiare in un tavolo che può gestire massimo sei persone, c'è ne metti otto qualcosa di molto antipatico noioso scomodo brutta gestione visto che in sala c'erano tavoli liberi fino a tarda serata , per non parlare delle comande, mangiare gli antipasti di pesce, non avere bottiglie di vino a tavola perché il cameriere se ne é dimenticato, lo trovo assurdo, poi la carta dei vini caro Luigi la devi aggiornare per i bianchi, ci vuole più qualità, riviera candele, ecc sono dei vini economici, andare in un ristorante non trovare un vino di un cantina, importante é un pecca enorme , il servizio é molto lento sia in sala che in cucina, mi spiace caro Luigi ma questa critica ti tocca non credo di ritornarci, visto che sono venuto 4 volte in poche settimane e ho trovato le stesse identiche lagune, per la pizza ultima cosa il pomodoro lo trovo abbastanza acido, anche se fai un ottima pizza, la qualità dei prodotti che ci metti, deve andare in sintonia con il prodotto finale, cerca di far capire a chi sta in sala che il cliente , va trattato...
