Ristorante alla Vecchia Fattoria — Restaurant in San Michele al Tagliamento

From the distance the place looks promising. Waiters were white shirts, tables look elegant, parking is full. This place must be good right? Not really. behind all of it we have very mediocre place let down by the service and also food. Waiters are just not interested in the customers so when they take an order often look elsewhere. They also barely speak any language then Italian which is odd. Food is OK but it happens that something is not cooked properly - we ordered 3 scampi and one was not edible. This restaurant is aiming mainly for German tourists. Since the beginning the waiter was not very nice, once he found out we were speaking English, not German. Waiting time was quite long, this was not rush hour at all. Portions were quite big, but mixed grilled meat was way too salty. If you think that serving salty foods will boost your drinks sales, think again. Generally, service was acceptable, but in the end we were given not our bill and if I hadn't noticed, we would have paid...

Dopo aver letto parecchie recensioni positive abbiamo deciso ieri sera di cenare alla vecchia fattoria. Il locale ha un bel giardino niente da dire e dentro i posti a sedere sono comodi.(fuori eviterei nei stretti tavolini di plastica). Purtroppo però per una pasta e due risotti abbiamo aspettato dalle 19.30 alle 21!! mangiando pane..decisamente troppo con due bambine piccole al seguito. I piatti non erano niente di che e mi spiace dirlo, ma gli spaghetti alla busara erano più che altro al pomodoro..co 2 scampi sopra..risotto ai frutti di mare scarso come i piatti che ho visto passare, non so chi può sostenere che erano abbondanti!! (Vino della casa scandaloso troppo risparmio!!) Ambiente pulito ma mi pareva essere alla stazione dei treni nel salone ho visto solo confusione e un gran frastuono, probabilmente l'intenzione è quella di fare molti coperti ..troppi..di sfruttare la stagione estiva al massimo, e non va bene!!! Alla seconda portata abbiamo rinunciato annullando l'ordine al cameriere, perché ero davvero stufo di mangiare pane cosi abbiamo pagato poi mi sono mangiato una pizza fredda in appartamento dalla fame. Prezzi non cari, ma per la materia che abbiamo mangiato non adeguati a mio parere, coperto 2 € troppo. Magari in un'altra stagione fanno meglio spero altrimenti non giustifico tutte le buone recensioni. (Ho visto passare delle belle pizze giusto dirlo poi non so). Personalmente non credo proprio di ritornare, una bella croce...
