Osteria alla Cascina — Restaurant in San Pietro al Natisone

Avevamo prenotato un tavolo all'aperto. Al nostro arrivo hanno tentato di accomodarci dentro, ma solo per la mia insistenza finalmente ci hanno sistemato fuori. Ci hanno messo 40 minuti solo a portarci da bere e prendere l'ordine. Nessun menu, tutto "raccontato" dal gestore. Un'ora dopo (1 ORA) ci hanno portato i piatti (petto di pollo con salsa agrodolce, bistecca di carne frollata 60 giorni cotta sottovuoto, e delle patate in tecia). Al pollo mancava cottura (infatti era rosso in mezzo) ed essendo per un bambino non andava bene. Abbiamo chiesto di finire la cottura. La bistecca, in teoria la grande protagonista, è arrivata FREDDA in mezzo. Anch'essa abbiamo dovuto tornarla in dietro per finire la cottura. Poi, dal chilo promesso, la metà era grasso e osso, e l'altra metà niente di speciale. Al pagamento, ho fatto un commento sulle circostanze del pranzo (neanche una lamentela). Il gestore non si scusa, ma soltanto dice che si trattava di una giornata impegnativa in cucina. Offre di fare uno sconto e... SPARA 85 EURO per il cibo, mezzo di rosso della casa e un'acqua. Allora, se non mi porti un menù al tavolo, almeno fai il chiarimento che stai per chiedermi 60 EUR per una bistecca, quel che sia. Una volta mi hai...

Wonderful restaurant, we came down from Matadown trail from Matajur and stopped here since a friend has recommended us not to miss it on the way down. We waited 1 hour for the waiter to take our order. Then we waited another 45 for the meat to be served and when we already finished with it they served fries. We spent more than 2.5 hours there. It should be only a quick lunch between our bike shuttle ride.

The meat was really good though. It was extremely expensive.
