The only two good things I can say about this place: cozy atmosphere and real wasabi root. My experience was horrible, from service to meals. Staff wasn’t friendly when we walked in, was hesitant to provide us with a table, none of the waiters spoke any English, not a single word. No English menu. We were given sealed wet tissues that were defective, it was impossible to open them, waiter couldn’t do it either. Salmon tacos were horrible, basically pure salmon in a hard shell that breaks apart, very plain. Yakisoba with fish and vegetables was the worst Yakisoba I’ve ever tried and I’m a big fan of it. It was more like a soup, watery, overcooked, with weird smell and taste. Even though I complained about the dishes, waiter simply took it away and said nothing. Oh and the prices are extremely high for this area and such quality, way overpriced. It’s definitely a NO GO place for me unless management...

Un posto spaziale. Mai viste cose così.

Intanto comincio facendo la lode ad un locale di questo tipo dato che, con i problemi che ci sono stati ultimamente in Italia ma anche a Catania per mancanza di elettricità, acqua e chi più ne ha più ne metta, ho chiamato il locale chiedendo se appunto fossero disponibili o aperti e sono stato accolto in chiamata da una estrema gentilezza e disponibilità. Punti in più.

Posso sicuramente ritenermi soddisfatto, al 100%.

Ho chiamato per informazioni per poi ordinare a domicilio direttamente dalla loro app (fatta bene per altro), sono arrivati anche con un leggero anticipo o comunque in orario, sono stato ricontattato al cellulare, una volta che il mio ordine era sul posto, come avevo chiesto, dato che il citofono è un po' difettoso.

Il ragazzo che mi ha consegnato tutto è stato davvero simpatico e alla mano. Nonostante la fretta e tutto quanto, mi ha atteso sotto casa (in un momento nel quale c'era confusione e dovevo scendere il prima possibile) e mi accolto con disponibilità, consegnandomi tutto quanto. Quasi volevo scusarmi con lui per la piccola attesa e tutto il resto e lui mi ha sorriso.

Il sushi era veramente ottimale, semplicemente curato sotto ogni minimo dettaglio. Ho notato una cura maniacale e ottima per i Gunkan che per altro erano molto, molto buoni, buoni anche i Nigiri, in generale (e non è assolutamente scontata come cosa), Hosomaki e Futomaki altrettanto buoni e piaciuti, in linea generale era tutto davvero molto buono, persino i Temaki sono piaciuti parecchio e gli ospiti hanno mangiato maggiormente il Sashimi, essendo molto abituati al crudo.

Una cucina di davvero ottima qualità. Parlando di bevande, abbiamo scelto le Asahi e ci hanno portato un vino-spumante Chardonnay (il Brut Lavì) in omaggio, anche quello eccessivamente buono e un'ottima aggiunta.

Aggiungo anche la cosa che il sushi è riuscito a rimanere semplicemente in condizioni PERFETTE anche dopo un paio d'ore rispetto alla preparazione e al domicilio, essendo che era davvero un ordine enorme, non potevamo mangiare proprio tutto la sera stessa e sono rimasti alcuni pezzi per il pranzo.

Un locale di ottima qualità. Cinque stelle...

-Yakisoba was too salty. -Sashimi was not fresh. -Sushi was poor. The shape of rice was very irregular bc of uneven grab(which is basic), wasabi was tasteless and not fresh, rice was a bit raw but gooey at the same time. It happens when the rice is cooked with too much water and low pressure or without enough time. -Green tea was tasteless and not good. -The chair was very uncomfortable. -The atmosphere of izakaya was cool. -Cheap or affordable price overall but not worthy.
