We stayed in Airbnb, Sant'Agnello that was near to this restaurant. After completing the Amalfi-Positano-Atrani tour, we were tired. We got freshen up and was looking for good food. After googling, we found this.
Though it was 9 PM only, the street was not busy much. But this restaurant was bubbling. We got the table but the service was slow and laidback. No issues, we were not in a rush. The server came and We ordered Ravioli Caprese (Cheese Ravioli), Pesce Spada (Type of fish, which was grilled) and local beer (Birra Peroni 66). The food was really good especially my fish. That fresh taste, my wife also likes her Ravioli. After tiring day, getting delicious food –can’t explain the feeling and that too with beer.
The ambiance was okay, but the food was really good. The waiters speak quite good English and local Peroni is on Draught!
And as usual for every European restaurant, they charged cover charge too ( you call it tip, they call it...
Read moreI would absolutely recommend this place.
It was recommended to us by our hotel manager.
Family owned, and lots of locals here so we knew it was going to be good.
We got the onion/provolone/prosciutto pizza which was one of the best pizzas I’ve had in Italy. Tasty dough, delicious toppings and just the right amount of grease.
The costs were so cheap we decided to get a couple of extra dishes. The roast chicken is a must have. A “nonna” is in charger of it in the patio dining area and is on a rotisserie right in front of you, where she feeds wood into the back of the oven. If you don’t want the chips with it (taste like McDonald’s fries) they are 4 euro so ask for no chips.
I also got the spaghetti carbonara which was delicious, and my friend got the gnocchi which she enjoyed.
One of the best meals I’ve had in Italy due to taste, vibes, portion size is big, and low costs. Must go if you’re in the area. These photos don’t do the...
Read moreDisappointing - we have just arrived in Italy - a dream I’ve had for so long. We were excited to go out for dinner. The place looked good but when we arrived we were ignored. We found a seat ourselves, the waiter seemed uninterested when he finally took our order. Pizza was good albeit thrown together but my carbonara pasta was inedible. Sooo salty! We informed the waiter who told the chef but brought it back saying the people in the big group that were there seemed ok with it so dumped it back if front of me. I couldn’t eat it so left it. They didn’t seem to care about us at all but there was a big birthday group so what does one couple matter? Our plates were removed without comment and I felt like they thought I was a problem. I never usually write bad reviews because I know how hard it can be to run a business but I really felt ripped off and offended after this experience. Would...
