Agriturismo Ca' Verde — Restaurant in Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella

We were en route from Venice back to the Riviera, in hopes of finding a nice agriturismo for our lunch break along the way. The first one we called was booked, so we tried this one based on their website, which made it look really cute and legit. When we got there, it hardly looked open, and there was only one couple eating - we should have known then to get back on the road. Why would this place be empty if another nearby agriturismo was booked for lunch? The food was pretty good and inexpensive, but the ingredients were not from their farm, which would be the definition of an agriturismo - food that is from their own land. Also, the website mentions that they make their own olive oil, but this is not what they gave us - the waiter almost forgot to even bring us olive oil! The atmosphere was so-so, and they did not sit us outside as we'd requested on the phone - the outdoor space was not even set up. ||||I'm sure this place could be great for an event if you rent the whole place and bring your own atmosphere with you, but it was not worth...

L’ho individuato su Booking ma poi ho chiamato la struttura al telefono per prenotare. Sono stati molto gentili e mi hanno mandato un messaggio whatsapp di conferma richiedendo carta di credito a garanzia e documenti.|Il posto è immerso nel verde, accessibile attraverso 2 stradine di campagna , una più semplice dell’altra da percorrere. |Il check-in è automatico, non ti accoglie nessuno e accedi alla camera con un codice.|La camera è molto semplice ma pulita e la parte più bella è il bagno, nuovo, con una doccia molto comoda. Non ho capito come intervenire sul condizionatore perché non sono riuscita ad abbassare la ventilazione. C’è il Wi-Fi e un piccolo frigo appeso al muro.|Le finestre delle camere sporgono su uno spazio esterno adibito a ristorante, ma devo dire che con la finestra chiusa, non sentivi alcun rumore, pur essendo il ristorante pieno.|La mattina la colazione è servita su una saletta piccola, con pochi tavoli (d’altra parte hanno solo 8 camere). Il buffet è semplice ma ci sono vari tipi di formaggi stagionati del luogo molto buoni, ricotta, scamorza, yogurt, marmellate, tutto presentato con attenzione. Puoi acquistare il loro vino e i loro formaggi esposti nella stessa sala. |Quando sono arrivata erano già finite le brioches, dovrebbero prevedere di prepararne di più in base al numero dei clienti. C’erano una torta della nonna e una focaccia. La Signora Antonella è stata gentilissima e molto disponibile con i clienti, la ringrazio.|Il check out avviene contestualmente al pagamento nella saletta delle colazioni.|Lo spazio esterno è un bellissimo giardino, pieno di fiori ben curati da un giardiniere che se ne occupa da diversi anni. Di fronte al giardino ci sono dei tavoli di un ristorante, alcuni sotto una bellissima Pergola.|Vorrei fare un’osservazione, o meglio dare un suggerimento, proprio a proposito di questo argomento: ho prenotato pensando che avrei anche cenato li, ma le gestioni sono differenti e a mio parere è un’informazione che la struttura dovrebbe dare al cliente. Infatti non c’è stato verso di poter riservare un tavolo perché era tutto pieno. Dal mio punto di vista avrebbero dovuto avvisarmi del fatto che il ristorante non è gestito dall’ agriturismo e che sarebbe stato opportuno prenotare in caso ci fosse stato l’interesse.|Il prezzo non è così economico considerando che non c’è servizio, a parte alle colazioni, ma la zona è la struttura stessa mi sono...

Ca‘verde is an agriturismo in a charming old building with a large garden (including a playground). The rooms are simple and small, but clean and comfortable (but without aircon) - good value for the 70 EUR per night. Breakfast is good. Staff speaks very little English.
