AMAZING SPOT, TERRIBLE COMUNICATION We arrived here for sunset, the place is beautiful with an amazing view of Lake Garda, not too busy. We immediately had issues ordering a few cocktails and food for our aperitivo, we found that the cashier was rude and unprofessional, and she messed up a few things, but nothing tragic. We then decided to order 3 more spritz cocktails and we had to wait for 30 minutes. After that, we asked the staff, and they started to argue between them, we waited for 10 more minutes, and we asked again, with the same result with the promise to make them immediately. We then decided to ask for the recound and they finally gave us the cocktail at 9pm.... Also, I'm Italian, so there is even the excuse of the language barrier. I'm sure they can improve, the waiters are...

Great little bar in San Giorgio, right next to the Pieve, and plenty of tables outside too. It's a definite sun-trap in the afternoon, with spectacular views.

They have an excellent selection of "small bites", all fatto in casa. I first went there after riding up the Sentiero dei Forti, and the bar was so good I made it my destination after another ride today. The Polpette Lenticchie are superb, wonderfully spiced.

A definite stop when enjoying the Valpolicella countryside, or for an aperitivo before dinner in one of San Giorgio's...

Pessima non esperienza. Sia io che il mio ragazzo abbiamo passato diversi minuti nei pressi del bancone cercando di attirare l'attenzione per capire come funzionava il posto e se potevamo sederci. L'atteggiamento nei confronti dei clienti abituali era con sorrisi e accortezze e frasi condite di "mi raccomando stammi bene alla prossima" mentre per noi totale indifferenza. Erano in 4/5 persone che si alternavano dietro al bancone e in cassa, preparando o portando fuori i piatti. Tutti ci ignoravano e continuavano a far finta di non sentire, anche dopo diversi "mi scusi!". Il mio ragazzo decide di abbandonare ed andarsene ma io volevo dare un seconda possibilità. Arrangiandoci e aspettando, troviamo un tavolino (sporco e pieno di piatti) all'esterno, al che decido di piazzarmi letteralmente di fronte alla porta per chiederle se cortesemente potesse disbrigare il tavolo per sederci e senza lasciarmi finire la frase, passa oltre senza guardarmi in faccia e con indifferenza rispondendo "sì sì". Inutile dire che abbiamo preso e ce ne siamo andati senza tanti...
