We originally wanted to reach Urbino by car but because of bad weather we decided to stay here the night. The apartment we were offered in the agriturismo was OK although there were no bedroom side lights. We were very tired and decided to go to sleep around 9.PM. We were woken up around 10 PM and told to pay for our stay as there would be no-one to receive our payment in the morning. This was certainly not made clear to us and we found it very odd. We had to get out of bed and dress quickly to get to the office otherwise we were threatened with being thrown out of the establishment. It was all very unwelcoming indeed and we got rather wet finding our way to the office in the dark as our apartment was a little way off. Throughout the night there was a noise of frogs from the covered up swimming pool which was also a little off-putting. Read moreWell, well! What an adventure. Lovely outside and idyllic courtyard. Would've been nicer without screaming Italian kids. One of them even crawled under my table like a cockroach. Was very close to putting their toys on fire. The food was good, but had to wait a week for it to come. Maria didn't speak English, luckily Gepetto could.
