SceSce' - Braceria Pizzeria — Restaurant in Sant'Egidio del Monte Albino

As Sant'Egidio del Monte Albino isn't the biggest tourist hub, you don't come across much tourist stuff. That includes the restaurants - ranging from genuine and very simple, to genuine and very nice.

SceSce is not fine dining, and is a bit on the rustique side, but the service is friendly enough to make you feel like the guest of honour; they even treated us to a cannoli along with our coffee. Also, it might have been the quickest service I have experienced; the three of us had a water bottle, bread, wine and food on the table within seven minutes from our order.

The food is good and filling. I tried six dishes during my stay, and I would very much like to recommend the Caprese - which was both beautiful, innovative and delicious.

The menu isn't packed with hundreds of dishes. There is a decent selection of what you would possibly want; they have a number of finer meat cuts sold by the 100 grams, a handful of seafood alternatives, an extensive pizza menu and a tiramisù to die for. This goes along with a generous wine card, as one could expect, but SceSce is however no stranger to beer. They offer a nice, locally brewed lager on tap, along with a few bottled beers - classic Italian brands, as well as IPA's and other brews.

If I return to Sant'Egidio del Monte Albino, or indeed Napoli, I will be sure to visit...

This restaurant is a hidden gem. First question was anyone have allergies of course me I have celiacs so I went for the dry aged steak. Hands down the steak was amazing felt like I was back home in states at Peter Lugers. The owner super friendly and showed concern of my allergy to make sure no cross contamination. Il locale è molto carino ma il servizio e' stato sotto le aspettative.abbiamo aspettato quasi un ora e mezzo x le pizze e per la prima volta nella mia vita ci hanno portato subito il conto a tavola senza che nessuno l abbia richiesto.come dire hai finito di mangiare devi andare via.era mezzanotte e nel locale c'erano altri 4 tavoli con persone che stavano consumando.bha.🤔. probabilmente eravamo fastidiosi specialmente i nostri bambini.Ps la pizza era leggermente bruciata🤦 RISPOSTA AL COMMENTO DEL PROPRIETARIO: I bambini erano 3 cmq le devo fare i miei complimenti per aver sentito i nostri bambini urlare in un locale strapieno e chiassoso dove non si sentiva nemmeno la voce dei camerieri ai tavoli durante l'ordinazione.sembra che abbiano dato fastidio solo a lei visto che anche i tavoli vicino al nostro ci giocavano e ridevano.Cmq la prossima volta (se ci sarà)li legheremo alle sedie ma soprattutto cosa molto importante chiederemo il conto prima di sederci così da toglierle un pensiero.😉e se posso permettermi di darle un consiglio commentate anche le recensioni positive ringranziandole e non solo criticando...
