Bar Trattoria Maestrale — Restaurant in Santeru/San Vero Milis

We asked for a menu and we're told that the waiter was the menu, he would tell us what was best. We went along with it and we did eat a starter and a main each, and 2 beers each (between 2) which came to 70 euros. We accepted it as we had a lot of food, it was delicious. The next day our two elderly friends visited after our recommendation and we're charged 60euros for 1 main each and a glass of wine. Entro al bar del ristorante Bar Trattoria Maestrale che si trova a 2 metri dall’entrata del ristorante, consumo al tavolo 1 birra alla spina, 1 coca cola zero e 2 bottigliette d’acqua. Nel restare vicino ad altri che consumavano piatti di pesce di tutto rispetto decido di consumare almeno 2 fritture che ripeto, erano davvero invitanti. Rientro e parlo col titolare chiedendo di poterne ordinare 2 e lui non capendo che volevo consumarle in loco mi risponde gelidamente che non effettuano asporto..al che io rispondo che le avrei consumate qui..al tavolo del suo bar e lui mi guarda e dice, io non faccio ste cose, io favorisco i clienti ai tavoli e gli do la priorità… A quel punto preciso che sono seduto al suo bar e sto consumando..sono al tavolo a fianco a circa due metri da quelli considerati (ristorante) e confermo che li ordino, li pago e aspetto… Beh lui mi guarda e mi fa con fare scocciato allontanandosi per andare a fare caffè..senta se vuole panini e basta…e se ne va e non mi calcola più come se fossi una persona che stava chiedendo le elemosina. Vi dirò…io oltre a essere turista e quindi una risorsa per chi ha abbastanza intelligenza da capirlo, sono per giunta sardo e ho casa qui. Mi chiedo? Perché ci si lamenta che non c’è lavoro quando tratti senza nessun riguardo chi ti sta dimostrando che ti apprezza e vuole addirittura farti guadagnare? Io faccio l’imprenditore e per fortuna non ho la vostra politica perché anziché guadagnare 100 guadagnerei 10. E non ho nemmeno menzionato il periodo in cui stiamo vivendo (emergenza Covid e chiusure annesse). Menomale che non sono tutti così altrimenti qualcuno potrebbe anche vergognarsi della sua terra...

We were on our afternoon walk and baking in the sun and wandered into this restaurant which was finishing up its extensive lunch for its off season local customers. Despite our obvious tourist appearance and hour, the owner was very friendly and pointed us to the one open table where we could have a drink and enjoy an excellent Italian dessert.
