Un’esperienza gastronomica che lascia il segno Tralasciando per un attimo la splendida vista sul mare che accarezza l’orizzonte, ciò che davvero colpisce al ristorante Mares è l’attenzione meticolosa e l’equilibrio con cui ogni piatto è pensato e realizzato: sapori armonici, materie prime di qualità e presentazioni curate, il tutto studiato per valorizzare ogni boccone. Su consiglio del personale, abbiamo scelto di accompagnare la cena con un HERCULIS 2022: un rosso importante da 15°, elegante e profondo, con note di mora matura, frutti neri, bacche selvatiche, legno tostato e un raffinato finale di cioccolato fondente. Un assemblaggio ben riuscito, che ha saputo completare alla perfezione l’esperienza gastronomica. Il servizio è stato impeccabile: gentilezza, premura e competenza si fondono in un’accoglienza davvero professionale, capace di far sentire ogni ospite al centro dell’attenzione senza mai risultare invadente. E per concludere… la location è uno spettacolo: una terrazza con vista mare che regala un’atmosfera unica, soprattutto al tramonto. Consigliatissimo.

Sicuramente il ristorante offre dei prodotti di qualità, il che giustifica un prezzo ben più alto della media. Anche il servizio in linea generale si è dimostrato in linea con le aspettative in termini di gentilezza e disponibilità. Purtroppo però devo rassegnarmi a dare 2 stelle: i primi sono stati serviti tiepidi, più tendenti al freddo. In un ristorante in cui si spende ben oltre la media, non ci si può aspettare un inciampo di questo tipo. Lo abbiamo fatto presente anche al cameriere ma a quanto pare non lo ha riferito né al cuoco né al caposala - o se lo avesse riferito, nessuno si è degnato di venirsi a scusare. Altra nota dolente sono gli spazi tra i tavolini. Ripeto, in un ristorante in cui si va a a spendere più di 100€ a testa, mi aspetto di stare ampiamente lontano dagli altri tavoli. Quindi in linea generale, i prodotti sono buoni ma da un ristorante che promette bene non ci si possono aspettare simili cadute di stile.

Siamo stati in questo ristorante appena inaugurato e ne siamo rimasti incantati. L’atmosfera è magica e romantica, con una vista mozzafiato che regala un senso di pace e bellezza. Non si tratta del solito ristorante sardo: qui ogni piatto è un vero e proprio viaggio tra profumi, sapori e colori che emozionano. La cucina è semplicemente invidiabile: paste fresche fatte in casa, pescato del giorno freschissimo, impiattamenti eleganti e curati nei minimi dettagli. Ogni portata è un’esperienza visiva e gustativa. La carta dei vini è ricercata ma accessibile, con proposte adatte a tutte le tasche. Ho avuto il piacere di conoscere anche i giovani proprietari, professionisti con alle spalle importanti esperienze in hotel di lusso in tutto il mondo. La loro passione e competenza si riflettono in ogni aspetto del locale. Un posto dove tornare, sicuramente. Complimenti!

The atmosphere was warm, elegant, and relaxing perfectly complementing the stunning backdrop of ocean and mountains. We began with a refreshing Venturo Spritz, followed by a light and vibrant watermelon starter that set the tone for the meal beautifully. The tuna entrée was melt-in-your-mouth perfection, full of flavour. The sea bass was flawlessly cooked , flaky and subtly seasoned to perfection. The spaghetti alle vongole was another standout, rich and briny with just the right touch of garlic. To finish, we enjoyed two unforgettable desserts: a pecorino cheesecake that was rich but not too sweet, with a hint of salted caramel that balanced every bite, and a meringue that was airy, flavourful and sure to impress any palate. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. A truly memorable experience from start to finish. Definitely...

Discovering Mares restaurant in the village of Miriacheddu, San Teodoro, was a wonderful surprise. We were just passing by and stopped to see if we could have a drink — and what we found inside exceeded all expectations. Everything was delightful, but the terrace with its breathtaking views of Tavolara and the sea truly stands out. There is no other place like it in San Teodoro.

We loved the peaceful atmosphere, the large parking area, and the friendly, courteous staff. As for the food, the menu is mostly seafood-based, but there are also meat and vegetarian options available. And the dishes? Simply outstanding — beautifully presented and delicious, with portions just right for a relaxed dinner. We were very pleased overall, and we will...

The restaurant has a beautiful deck and view of the island. The grilled fish was quite good and the lamb was good, though nothing special. However, we ordered 2 pasta dishes and they were truly awful — inedible in fact.The pasta tasted like cardboard. One was supposed to be pasta stuffed with fish and I think the fish was rotten. It seemed like they tried to make it fancy looking and in the process completely forgot about taste. This also turned out to be the most expensive meal we ate in Sardinia. Considering the pasta was inedible and the price, we would not go back. If you want to go for the view, order the grilled fish and stay away from...
