I am AMAZED that this Restaurant / Bar is not on Trip Advisor with 5 stars. Maybe, as my daughter(5 times visitor to Sauze and never been here) says, it is too obvious. It is situated at the bottom of the Clotes lift so when you get there, all you want to do is jump on the lift and of course on return the temptation is to get into town! We had excellent food at Ciao Pais up the mountain, but my Bean and Pasta soup, Pot Roast Rabbit and Semi Fredo(with Pistachio Mousseline) at La Grangia was every bit as good. There is proper genuine skill in this kitchen...... Molto abile! On another ocassion, three of us had excellent salads, all different all high quality. I forgot the wine bar...... great...
Read moreWent in, got rude service when we didn't have a reservation. Ordered marinara pizzas which by the menu shouldn't have had any anchovies but olives and capers. Getting first drinks took too long. Got pizzas which were just tomato sauce and anchovies. Complained about this that this wasn't in the menu, the waiter then took the pizzas and came back later with the same pizzas but olives and capers added in. Ended up taking the anchovies out ourselves.
Last straw was them charging more than what was in the menu but that we noticed only after we exited the restaurant.

Read moreWe went in this place on January 19 for lunch and we had a terribly bad experience with salads missing ingredients from what was listed on the menu and an utterly rude and impolite woman chief of staff. The staff was already rude when we went there the week before, but that was the last time we ever set food in this place. There are more reviews here with same complaints about the same person. I wonder how the Sauze administration can keep a restaurant licence open...
