Pizzeria Le Mimose, Live Music — Restaurant in Scalea

Over an hour wait for 2 pizzas on a Sat Night with only half a restaurant (at most). My bottle of wine did not come out, until long after the fries we ordered for appetizer… although my husband had his beer delivered quickly! … (+ordered at same time). And who delivers a bottle of wine already opened, with the cap replaced as if it is not uncorked? Why not open it at the table as normal? Weird. But I won’t accuse them of that. Then she had my pizza delivered first. After an hour!. A few minutes later my partners’ arrived. Who does that with the same table, 2 pizzas?!!!??? & never did she check on us again until we asked for the check at 11pm. 2 hrs after arriving. We were there a week ago, in fact two times in that week. Learned of this location thru Chris & Pete Sobolov of Super Savvy Travelers YouTube channel. Absolutely loved this restaurant. The staff was excellent and very patient with my rudimentary Italian skills. The food was excellent, the service was excellent. I especially loved the fact that the locals (families) were coming in and having their dinners surrounding us - one little girl came in and said, "Ciao," to us. Locale accogliente, due sale con tavolini ben apparecchiati, personale disponibile, a dire il vero non molto presente in sala, ma gentile e cortese. La pizza è molto particolare: non è napoletana, questo è sicuro. Il forno non è a vista ma, ci scommetto, non è a legna. In ogni caso quello che conta è la qualità e il gusto: promossa a pieni voti... Bassa ma con cornicione distintamente alto, non bruciata sul fondo, ben condita, non salata, impasto visibilmente a lunga lievitazione (sul menú scrivono 72 ore e ci credo). Saporita ma leggera.
