La Bottega del Caffè di Lumaca Salvatore — Restaurant in Scaletta Zanclea

A gem in the dark when we were lost. We just came from Messina and were looking for a place to eat cause it was late and we were finding nothing open. We ended up here, to our immense luck! This looks like a simple place from the outside but inside its a very cozy experience served and augmented by its waiters. We went outside to the balcony, or so we thought would be a balcony and were greeted by a super cozy rocky garden with a low light that augmented the atmosphere. Did I mention the waiter? Yeah cause he was amazing, he was a young looking guy with glasses that even though he wasn't comfortable with English tried his hardest to explaing us stuff, in the end we said he could speak italian with us and he recommended the food, and gelato and all, and I mean it, ALL...

Abbiamo fatto apericena del 14 febbraio con mio marito ed un coppia di amici alla Bottega del Caffè ed è stata , come sempre , un' esperienza perfetta! Sinceramente non trovo altro aggettivo: perfetta!!! Localino accogliente , ordinato e strapulito! personale sorridente, garbatoe veloce! La qualità eccezionale , come sempre!! Prodotti scelti , come sempre! Tutto ciò ha garantito, negli anni, a questo localino di nicchia una nomea che merita! Relativamente al menu del 14 antipastini deliziosi, un assaggio di pasta , ottima bruschetta con base artigianale e condimenti super e come non citare il buonissimo gelato servito accanto ad un cuore caldo dal profumo inebriante. Occorre , inoltre, puntualizzare che il tutto era accompagnato da una possibile scelta tra ottimi vini, birre o uno spritz da provare ( sul quale mi esprimo per averlo gustato)..... e ancora caffè , amaro , grappa !!! Best gelato any of us had EVER had. So creamy and full of real flavor. Lemon and orange gelato had bits of the fruit in them that did not take away from it. Combine orange and chocolate!
