Baita Flora Alpina — Restaurant in Selva di Cadore

I'm not sure if the owners of the place have changed in the past few years, but the food here is fantastic. I first visited in 2016 and wasn’t particularly happy with the food and service. However, after hearing so many positive reviews, I decided to give it another try, and I’m so glad I did. The quality and portion sizes exceeded my expectations. The restaurant also drastically changed the layout, tables, and overall atmosphere.

I had the Leek & Potato Soup followed by a pork chop with red cabbage and mashed potatoes, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The flavours were well-balanced, and everything was cooked to perfection. I’ll definitely be coming back to explore more of the menu! This place was recommended by campeggio staff were we were staying in Palafavera and we loved pizzas in there. The place is small and you need to book for a table. Located right by the campsite Campeggio Cadore, the restaurant offers a very extensive menu especially for pizza!! The restaurant is very popular: for the 2 visits we’ve made, they’ve been fully reserved, but there is plenty of seating outside.
