I spent a week in Sardinia. Visiting a Blue Zone was at the top of my list. Not only did I want to visit a Blue Zone, but I wanted to eat as close to what the locals ate as possible. This restaurant immediately stuck out to me for a few reasons. Firstly, you get a true farm to table experience. And secondly, there is a tasting menu, where you can try everything. Why not try everything? When I arrived at the restaurant in this beautiful hillside village, I was delighted to essentially see no one. This place is not overrun with tourists. Mauro, my chef and server, greeted me and sat me outside. The tasting menu is spaced out and comes out in a certain order. The ham was the most incredible ham I've ever had (that's an understatement). The salty goat cheese that you put on the boiled potatoes.......just.......wow. I've never had cheese like that. The olives were amazing. The seasoned sausage meat in a skillet was very unique. There was another skillet with either chick peas or lentils with pork inside. It tasted so meaty and so good!!! The pecorino cheese was to die for. I could go on. Mauro did amazing from start to finish. He was so kind and courteous throughout. He is from Seulo, which made it even more authentic. We had a lovely conversation afterwards for quite a while (through Google translate, but it was easy). At one point, a man walked to the door and started talking to Mauro in Italian. After the man left, Mauro asked me how old I thought the man was. I said 60. He told me he was 90!!!! He did not look 90!!! This is a true Blue Zone. Do yourself a favor if you are in Sardinia and come have a true, authentic...

This wasn’t what I expected. With the banner ‘Pig Stop’ flying high on the street, I wasn’t sure if this was where I wanted to eat. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The chef gave me a menu in English which was a degustation of 10 courses!!! I explained that was way too much for me, so he suggested a plate of different sliced meats and cheeses with bread. The flavours were unbelievable, and the salty goats cheese with potatoes was like nothing I had ever tasted before. Explosion of tastes. Great stop for lunch, and if you are really hungry go the degustation menu. You won’t be disappointed. Very friendly, happy, place with fresh...

We were driving through this picturesque mountain village (SEULO in Sardinia), where people live for more than one hundred years!! In fact, it is a Blue Zone!!! We stopped and just walked in for a bite to eat, and host Andrea prepared a great meal for us, typical of the area, including own-grown and own-prepared prosciutti, freshly-grilled pork, cocoette stuffed with pork scratchings, onions and potatoes, and even cured pork cheeks. This unforeseen ‘pigstop’ proved to be one of the main highlights of our trip to this gem of a...

Authentic and local sampling menu of the regions finest foods. We especially loved the prosciutto and local red wine!!! Owner and staff are lovely people who explained the menu and origins of the foods. The meats are home grown and free range. A very cultural experience for us travelling from Australia. Would recommend everyone to stop by and try the best foods from Seulo and region.
