If you want to consume a delicious meal with a loved one or with some friends, Dom Bistrò is the place that suits best every situation. It is a Bistrò located in Borgo Grotta, next to the famous attraction “Grotta Gigante”. This place could be described as a middle-upper class restaurant because of the high quality food at modest prices, but the variety of tasty wines that the waiters will suggest to you could make your break more expensive.
The location is far from the noise of the city and it is quite big. Inside the ambience is cozy, elegant and intimate while during the summertime you can also take a seat outside and eat being surrounded by nature. Although sometimes there are many people, the atmosphere is relaxed and you won’t feel overwhelmed. This happens also thanks to the staff that is very kind, attended and provides all the information you need. The service is efficient although sometimes it can be a little slow. The reservation is needed especially during weekends.
I went to Dom Bistrò on a saturday evening and my experience was totally positive. Everything was good, from the smallest things to the most important things like the food. Differently from others, this Bistrò offers many dishes like starters, first and second courses but also pizzas, burgers and fried food for every taste. I ate a steak tartare, then gnocchi made of ricotta and at the end a tiramisu cream made of hazelnut. Everything was delicious, plentiful and presented nicely.
In conclusion, Dom Bistrò is the perfect place for both daily or sophisticated dishes. If you choose to try it, you will definitely have an amazing time and eat delicious food. Just remember to take the right...
Read moreMy family and I recently dined at Dom Bistro, and while the food was absolutely amazing, I had a frustrating experience with the service. We specifically asked our server if the bread had sesame seeds on top because my son has a sesame allergy. Unfortunately, she didn’t bring out his meal until my husband and I had already finished ours. When she finally brought out his burger and cheese, I was disappointed to find that we hadn’t had the necessary conversation about his meal beforehand. I mentioned that traces of sesame are okay, but it felt like a conversation that should have happened before we received our food, not after we were done eating.
To make matters worse, we waited about 15 to 20 minutes for someone to take our drink orders, and I even had to wave at someone at the bar to get their attention. I used to love this place, but the service today was just absurd. I’m torn about recommending Dom Bistro because while the food is great, good food doesn’t matter much when the service isn’t up...
Read moreThe restaurant used to be amazing, but unfortunately, they don’t know the meaning of the word ‚service‘. If you wait too long to place your order, the waitress almost rolls her eyes. They just drop a can of warm coke on your table which you are allowed to open yourself (ice and lemon seems strange to them) and in addition, you can feel that they are totally not aware of what hospitality / service means. The Pizza was ok (a 6 out of 10). ‚Buffalina‘ was served with a white rubber ball on top, where I think it was supposed to be a Mozzarella, ‚Burratina‘ lost the sardines on its way to the table and all Pizzas were definitely too pale. Forget about a drink’s menu. It doesn't exist. Just guess what you want. Overall, the service was rubbish, unprofessional and had a negative impact on the...
