Although the people here are very gracious and the reviews have been very good at this winery, we would like to share what we experienced. We booked a cooking class recently at Madonna Bella Winery for $400 euro for my wife and myself. Although it says winery, the orchards have olive trees and not grape vineyards. We expected to have a tour of the grapes at the winery and we’re told that the grapes are at another location. We were given a tour of the olive trees instead. The cooking class was very basic and was something that we were doing at home, making a meat sauce with carrots, onions, celery and ground meat. We felt that there was no value for the $400 that we paid. We expected that we would be taught something. The pasta dish was a basic dish and we would have preferred the pasta that the guests were being served at lunch. We felt the wine pours were very small especially with being at a winery. Overall for the $400 euro that we spent we felt that we did not get value for our money and we were disappointed.

In response to the Madonna Bella comments: Thank you for your response. As mentioned, you were most gracious when we were at your property. Our expectations were much higher than what we received. Our positive demeanor was in being polite while awaiting the service of the meal and tour experience. We give honest reviews based on our experience and give positive feedback primarily when we are onsite to the Chef and support staff. As business owners we appreciate feedback so we can improve in any way possible. By not communicating, it is in no ones best interest. We did not want you to feel pressured in any way to respond but were waiting for your response in due diligence. Your reviews are great overall and this simply was not a fit for us in traveling 2 hours from Florence....

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon at Madonna Bella Winery. We started with a very interesting and informative farm tour given by Monica. She talked about their vineyards, the olive oil production process as well as some history on the Palio. The tasting room, where we watched a video, was beautifully decorated.

Afterwards, we were seated outside in a shaded area next to the vineyard. The view is simply spectacular and made a perfect setting for our lunch. We had an incredibly delicious meal cooked by Lozanda. It was obvious that great care had been taken with making each dish. The first course was fresh grilled zucchini and eggplant with tomato bruschetta. To follow was an amazing salad with thin slices of pork on top and finally delicious piece of lasagna.

The wine pairing with each course was just perfect. Finally dessert and coffee to end our fabulous meal. We never felt rushed while dining and as each course changed, Monica and Francesco explained about the wines and the food. Wine and olive oil can be purchased there or shipped.

Friends of ours had the experience of previously touring and dining at the winery. They suggested we go while on our trip. I reached out to Monica ahead of time via email to make our reservation. She quickly responded and gave me the details for our visit.

Monica and Francesco were wonderful hosts and we highly recommend that you spend an afternoon at Madonna Bella Winery. It’s an amazing experience in the beautiful Tuscan countryside that you will never forget!! We definitely won’t! We will be sure to return to the winery if we are ever in the area again....

We stopped by the MadonnaBella Azienda Agricola (farm and winery) just 5 minutes outside of Siena one day last week and met Monica. We did not have a lot of time that day to spend at the winery so we booked a tour and dinner for today. Monica gave us an excellent tour of the vineyard and the olive grove and explained about their growth and cultivation. It was very interesting and educational. After that we had an exceptional 3 course dinner and dessert with 3 wine pairings sitting outside in the cool evening air looking out over their property. Owners Francesco, and Roberto and chef Paolo were there throughout to help with the service. A lovely way to spend an evening in Italy. It was by far our best meal in the month that we’ve been here so far and very reasonably priced. If you are in the vicinity check it out. You won’t be sorry. A lovely place with...

My friend and I are visiting Siena from Canada and wanted to do a Winery tour. We looked on Expedia and viator tours and just didn’t feel we were getting something personal. The tours seemed commercial and bus tour like/assembly line from the tourist they were offering at another winery. So we googled ‘Winery near us’ and found MadonnaBella Winery. It was super easy to take a taxi from Siena and cost €15 to get to Madonnabella and we had the best time ever. The staff are so amazing. We had a four course lunch and three wine tastings that were full glasses of wine and dessert. We got to walk around through the Winery vineyard and olive trees, and the whole place is so classy and nice and the views are amazing. You can see Siena from their patio. They have two patios and it’s just the most amazing Winery and farm ever! The food was all handmade and so delicious.
