Panoramic views with excellent service and dinner. Rooms small and basic and hotel lacks comfortable seating.||||We stayed here for two nights as part of a walking holiday. The approach on foot takes 15 minutes from the village along the road and is steep! The location, a castle, is worth it however and we were met by Natalia as we entered the castle and two beers were rapidly forthcoming! The hotel is built into the castle and also includes a large XV century church and the terrace overlooks the valley with distant views back along the route that we had walked. ||||We had dinner on the terrace on the first evening and most of the second (until driven inside by the thunderstorm). The menu is small but comprehensive with additional "specials" and our choice was guided by the cook. The quality of both the food and the service was excellent. Breakfast was of the continental type and somewhat limited in choice, but perhaps no less so than some of the other hotels we visited in the area.||||The bedroom was very small, perhaps inevitable for a hotel built into an ancient castle, and with no television, though it had radio, and no dressing table, drawers or wardrobe. The shower toilet was also somewhat small. ||||The internet was fast and free though stopped working in the room (but not elsewhere) during the second night due to the storm. ||||Our one significant criticism was the lack of comfortable seating on the terraces. This was a rest day for us and it was difficult to relax outside even though Natalia brought us cushions for the upright chairs - a few loungers would make all the difference. ||||Although a rest day, we did some exploring of the many paths in the surrounding forest, a number of which also gave some excellent views of the surrounding...

Read moreLette tante e forse troppe esaltanti recensioni.
