Trattoria Margherita — Restaurant in Spoleto

What a disappointment. Arrive about 8:00pm, anticipating a good Italian dinner and bottle of wine. My wife and I were going discuss the next days plan for travel sights. Well that plan went to hell in a hand basket. We walk in, the restaurant is busy, which is good... normally. We ask for a table and get a choice.. smoking or outside. It was a niece evening so we chose outside. The table we were give was the first 2 seat table by the door to the outside, yet there were lots of other tables available. Anyway it was alright, so we wait, and we wait, then the waitress comes over and says “DRINKS”, a little curt but I ignore it, I am Canadian, it’s what we do. So we decide to order a bottle wine, anticipating having a glass of wine before our dinner, but the waitress wants our food order as well... I could tell because she said “and FOOD”. Luckily we had had lots of time to review the menu and knew what we wanted.We are waiting for the wine, and waiting, when someone other than our waitress shows up with our dinners. It was, I swear less than 10 minutes since placing the order, and yes we still did not have our wine. We try to explain to the server that we want to have a glass of wine before our dinner. Here response was “this hot where can I put it”, she drops it on our table. So I sit, not wanting to start dinner without our wine, so I wait and wait. At this point my wife says “you should eat before it gets cold”....so I start. The original waitress arrives, without the wine, informing we the wine I order, they do not have and try’s to offer a lesser type. At this point I am getting a little miffed, and we decide to just get just 2 glasses of the house red, it’s not like I am going to have a relaxing dinner and be able to enjoy my wine. So I start my meal ( davidol ravioli), yuck... to spicy, edges of paste was uncooked, it didn’t come with the roasted asparagus as stated it should. I ate a bit but left most.... wine was good. My wife, described her dish (tagliatelle with spinach noodles) as bland. So our anticipated lovely dinner was over in 30 mins. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME or MONEY at...

BRAVI BRAVI, BRAVI!Premettonon sono di parte ma AMO MANGIARE BENE come minimo e non guardò al prezzo ma ALLA QUALITÀ’ .Sono passate le feste e anche alla Signora Elisabetta , ho fatto un figurone portando a casa di Amici la Torta ar formaggio che ho acquistato da loro con un prezzo super onesto come L’ alimentari sotto casa.. Premetto io non faccio recensioni di solito …Se mangio male non torno in un posto e non lo consiglio , se mangioBENE FORSE TESTIMONIO ma loCONSIGLIO VIVAMENTE AD AMICI E PARENTI… Sono partito da lontano perché’ questa TRATTORIA FAMIGLIARE VALE IL VIAGGIO DA ROMA!!!! Non solo chi e’ di passaggio per chi va in Umbria , Marche o Nord Italia.. , ma chi e’ vicino come me che vengo da Roma in motocicletta( ancora meglio) avrà’ una esperienza di Casa con Cucina di Mamma o Nonna per i Più’ Giovani..A me ha ricordato la cucina degli Anni 80 Quando ero bambino..Per L’ Appunto sono tornato qui dopo 35-37 Anni dove ero stato con mio fratello Mauro con la mitica Renault 4 bianca , lui Pischello con da due Anni tre Anni che guidava io regazzino appresso allaRoma che in quegli Anni dicevamo la nostra, ciocciottello ma già’ crescevo con cotiche e fagioli, coda e PAJATA.. Siamo arrivati alle 13 di un sabato di Dicembre tornando da Assisi per il concerto di UN GRANDISSIMO Alex Britti , la sera del venerdì quindi a diGIUNO . Siamo entrati e ci siamo accomodati in un tavolino vicino al Camino.. All’ Accoglienza una ragazza mora di nome Maria, UMILE anzi che dire UMILISSIMA !!!Graziosa ed educata nei modi con un viso Angelico ed ingenuo CON I CAPELLI RACCOLTI A CIPOLLA ( tanto per rimane’ in tema) che correva dalla sala alla Cucina che usciva con quei piatti che rimanevano profumi in tutta la sala.. Apriamo la carta Menu’ tipico con piatti classici … Iniziamo con l’ Assaffio del pane sciapetto cotto a legna con un olio umbro da cultivarono modaiolo e lecchino se non ricordo male di prima qualità’ poi proseguiamo con l’ Antipasto Margherita tra salumi , formaggi e crostini di fegatini .. Tutto semplice e saporito, ottima coratella tagliata molto molto piccola, ben condita e piccante.. Chiedo un Torgiano riserva 2011 di Lungarotti un classico dell’ Enologia italiana e per me tra i primi 5 vini Umbri più BUONI DI SEMPRE..PREZZO AL TAVOLO DA ENOTECA A ROMA … che faccio me ne compro un altra e la porto a casa.. Il mio giovane Amico Alessandro prende là Pappardelle al Cinghiale e alla mia richiesta di avere metà’ fegatelli e metà’ Scottadito la ragazza arrossata mi dice che dalla cucina dicono che non si puo’Fare… Ahhh non si può’ fare ??tra me e me penso ma cosa che non condivido ma rispetto.. Che cie vo’ invece de tre fegatelli me ne Manni due, invece de tre costolette me ne Manni due de numero… Arrivano i fegatelli… CHE SPETTACOLO !!!!❤️❤️❤️ Simone e’ tornato bambino!!! In tre Parole solo MORBIDEZZA, SUCCOLENZA E SAPORE… Come diceva Nonna mia lo poi porta’ pure ar Monte dei Pegni… Non sazio che faccio?? Chiamo la signora Alessia e ordino la Scottadito Perfetta come sopra per cottura , sapore e morbidezza bella unta da farti leccare le dita e li hai vinto… Dopo aver visto Alex er giorno prima, fatto visita a San Francesco e Carlo Acutis e la porcunziola avevo concluso con un pranzo eccezionale chiudendo con una Zuppa Inglese fatta a regola d’ ARTE!!!! PER finire un buon caffè’ Apparecchiatura , Bicchieri e profumo di pulito in bagno nella regola.. SIGNORA ELISABETTA BRAVA BRAVA BRAVA!!! On a wednesday night we got a table without reservation. We managed communication with our host with our bad italian just fine and the youngest member of the family presented the desert options in a very good english! Overall we left very happy and satisfied and with a huge recommendation. Best value for a dinner we had on our whole trip in...
