First day in Syracusa. We were trying to go into the city center by car but after not being able to find a parking spot we ended up wondering in the outskirts of Syracusa. Looking for a place to eat, late night driving with chill Italian radio playing on our red Fiat500. We pass outside of this pizzeria, we stop by hearing only local Italians talking, laughing loudly and having a great time. As Greeks we knew this was the place for us. I hear locals I know I will eat well! We step in, it was 30 mins before the place closed but they sat us in a nice cozy table and we ordered 2 pizzas and a sparkling water.
What can I say? Belíssimo! Best pizza I have eaten in my life. This is the authentic pizza experience.

The owners have now expanded the business to include sit down orders for Sicilian style pizza. The decor is not the finest in Siracusa, but if you're looking for an honestly good Sicilian pizza, La Pizzutera is the place to go. Prices are very affordable and in line with the majority of the pizzerias in the city.
