Gianfranco'S Steak House — Restaurant in Taormina

The pasta was the worst. Tasted really bad. I couldn’t eat it and they still charged us for it. don’t recommend that place at all. The service also was not very friendly and welcoming.

*im glad you (the owner) replied, it just proves my point. As an owner you should respect people and make them feel welcome, at least if you want them to eat at your place. It was not late it was around 14:30. And true we decided to stay cause we didn’t have a lot of options and it was a mistake. Where I come from, if a dish is not good or the costumer doesn’t like it and doesn’t eat it AT ALL you don’t charge him for it and you approach him nicely and try to understand what is the matter. I normally don’t write such long reviews but this place turned out to be such a pleasant surprise for us, it needs its own paragraph. At first, I’ll admit, I was a bit skeptical. The menu being in multiple languages made me think it could be a tourist trap, but all those worries disappeared the moment our food arrived.

I'm quite picky about how my steak is cooked, and their medium-rare steak with Dijon sauce was absolutely perfect. The photos definitely don’t do it justice. Amazing dinner and excellent service! We went back for the second time,we had the amazing tagliata vittelo,pasta and even the horse meat!Everything was very tasty but above all I really appreciate the attention to details. I have ordered the same thing - tagliata - and the owner remembered how I liked it including that I preferred having peperoncino on the side. Hats off to the owner, he s really into customer service, he even sat with us at the table to explain how locals eat!
