Osteria sul Ronc — Restaurant in Tarcento

The environment is great. The garden is perfectly maintained with beautiful trees and nice flowers. However, the staff is negligent, unpolite, if not rude. Despite a comprehensive order of wine and water, we have been ignored. We needed to insist on getting the menu, which is OK but not too exciting.

However, the waitress never came to ask for our order. Let alone give some advise. Several time she looked at our table without feeling the need to come over and take the order. Our desperate signals were ignored.

Our small group ordered a bottle of local Prosecco to celebrate a beautiful day. However, we left this place before we even drank half of the bottle. The obvious ignorance and unpoliteness made this place unbearable. Fortunately, Tarcento has a lot of nice ostarias and ristorants, which welcome you with nice and competent staff and a great Menü.

This place is not typical Italian in its complete absence of politeness and empathy. On the contrary. Maybe they had a bad day but as long as they work with this staff, it seems more like a systemic issue.

Siamo arrivati ai Roncs su consiglio di un amico tarcentino (noi siamo romani), senza prenotazione,chiediamo se c'è posto per due, qualche minuto per trovare la sistemazione e il proprietario, che reputo un personaggio d'altri tempi, ci offre del buon prosecco per ingannare il tempo. Voglio in primis raccontarvi di Andrea (il proprietario) un Signor Oste! Intrattiene i suoi clienti bevendo insieme a loro, gira tra i tavoli assicurandosi che non ci siano problemi e illustrando i piatti friulani a chi come noi non ha familiarità, insomma, io lo trovo grandioso perché sa come creare quel clima di familiarità che in un locale è sempre gradito. Bravo Andrea! Il personale... il personale è una squadra di ragazze fortissime! Il sorriso non ci è stato mai negato, la cortesia nel rivolgersi a me e alla mia compagna sempre ai massimi livelli, disponibilità fuori dal normale, efficenza spaventosa... per dirne una siamo arrivati verso le 20 e il cielo minacciava maltempo, infatti il tempo di entrare, scoppia un temporale! il personale tutto si adoperava a ricoverare e ricollocare dentro la sala gli ospiti con tavoli all'aperto. Il tutto gestito con grande professionalità e velocità! Veramente brave tutte! La cena si è composta di piatti tipici ovviamente! Antipasto crostini con lardo Patanegra e il mitico San Daniele, i primi, un tris con spatzel di spinaci e san daniele, gnocchi allo "scoplit" e un terzo di cui mi sfugge il nome era un medaglione di pasta con formaggio all'interno. Secondi, un tartara di manzo per la mia compagna e per me gauancetti di vitello, immancabile il frico offerto da Andrea perché ci teneva che noi lo provassimo! Ottimo bianco fermo della casa! Tutte queste pietanze sono fatte in casa e il palato se ne accorge, impiattate in un connubio di profumi e colori che soddisferà anche l'occhio. Per noi insuperabile l'osteria ai roncs.
