Chalet Al Lago — Restaurant in Tarvisio

Well, the view is nice, but service beyond horrible. We sat down for a drink and for 10min nobody came, so I went to order a drink inside. Was yelled on to sit outside and wait for someone to take the order. I went back to the table, asked a girl if we can take the order only to be told "I just clean tables here". Another girl came and told us the same thing, although none of them cleaned our table, was dirty with ashtray full of smelly cigarettes! Third girl that we stopped finally agreed to take the order. So we got our drinks finally after 30min wait. And the funniest part is that the guy that works there, that didn't want to take my order was casually smoking cigarettes on the restaurant window overlooking the terrace. His job was just the payments... This level of disorganization was definitely something to experience, and the restaurant was only half full so it wasn't too busy.

Don't go there, super unfriendly! We stopped there and parked in front of the cafe as we wanted to have a drink (no food, as we were warned by other reviews and we saw many people wait for the food for a long time). The parking was marked as 'private for guests of the cafe'. As we were leaving and getting the kids and the dog in the car, the infamous 'angry old man' appeared and started shouting that 'big cars' (we have a mini van) are not allowed there but have to go to the camper parking. We said we had a drink in the bar but he didn't care, he was on a one-man crusade to 'clean up' the parking. Though he had no problems with huge pickups, so he was quite selective in his hatred towards visitors. Worst restaurant experience in my life. We waited for service for about 40 minutes. After sitting down on the terrace for 20 minutes, we went inside to ask for the menu and to order some drinks and food, but got told by multiple impudent and stressed waiters and waitresses that the staff would come to serve us soon. We got ignored for 20 more minutes and went inside one more time to politely ask for service. Being rejected again, we asked for the menu one last time when the waitress passed our table. The extremely rude waitress ended up yelling at us for asking for service in front of all other guests on the terrace.
