The Inn Of The Miner — Restaurant in Tarvisio

We ended up at this village by accident in te first place. But we loved the entire authentic vibe. Especially the kind hearted and caring people (sth with a mtb that broke down). We didn t plan to go out for dinner but... then we saw this place. It looked inviting although only local people were there and it was siesta time. Since I didnt feel like cooking we first asked if it was possible to pay by card. Luckily it was! It was Still early so we first went to the waterfall (which u can apparently ice climb in winter!! *when we are more experienced climbers we will surely try) We loved it. Maybe because we were outside the season. We didnt visit the mines although we understood that the visit was worthwhile. Coming back to the review of this inn. We absolutely adored it. We hardly speak Italian but the woman who helped us was so kind. And the food was amazing!! We had a starter first with cheese and meat but the best of all: their flatbread. We would definitely go back to just ask the recipe for that one! We first wanted to order 2 pizza's but after the starter we Just shared 1 and the taste was amazing too. So cheers to all of the people who still live in the village and shout out to this...

We heard such a good review from our friends that we decided to try it on our own. The food was really good. I can recommend the tiramisu. The place looks amazing, decorated like a miner's Inn. But it can get really crowded and despite that there are just 2 bathrooms. But the service, I think we had a bad luck. There were 3 ladies. We came inside first, got our menu from one, which started avoiding our table, when other guests arrived, they could order first, got their beverages and we kept waiting, waving and after like 20 minutes we finally could order. And just an additional info: they charge + 1,5 € for...

Voto 5 stelle per più motivi oltre al prezzo!

1. La simpatia, l'educazione e la gentilezza dei gestori e del personale, amichevoli con tutti; l'eccellente cucina che ci ha fatti tornare "alla base" a pranzare e cenare visto quanto erano squisite sia la pizza (croccante fino all'ultimo morso), sia le minestre (fresche fatte al momento). Idem per la colazione, i panini, la milanese con patate fritte (superbe!), le insalatone super piene ed i dolci.. Nota bene: il cuoco è il gestore! 2)L'arredamento delle stanze: le vecchie travi a vista, i letti spartani in legno, il vecchio tavolino e la sedia in stile stanza del "minatore" si sposano bene con il resto della stanza molto nuovo e moderno, piastrelle, sanitari, del bagno ecc. Dalla stanza si ha unavista fiabesca sulla vecchia miniera . Essendo un sottotetto però ci sono due finestre ad abbaino e quindi la si vede stando distesi a letto o stando in piedi. Nb: Alle stanze si accede su per una scala interna. 3)Qui i cani sono amati e ben accetti! 4)La location! Fuori locanda c'è un grande prato verde dove i bambini ed i cagnolini possono giocare, la miniera è di lato, il museo è davanti!
