We ended up at this restaurant by accident after the first two we tried were closed and booked out. We were staying in country Tuscany and eating out can be a challenge in some of the smaller villages. |This presents at first impressions as more of a run down road side stop than a restaurant. It has a small bar and deli at the front. We entered the restaurant cautiously and with pretty low expectations. The decor is odd, pink and dated and confused. There is seating for around 80 so is quite large. We were the first there and had a great time. The service was friendly, the food was excellent, it is very traditional Italian food and was just wonderful. The prices are cheap and the meals were a good size. The host insisted on a complimentary Italian liquor and cake to finish our meal. 120 euro for 8 meals plus wine and beer and side dishes. Don’t be put off by first impressions. To start, the service was horrible. I received a bill 30 euros higher than the food I had ordered. After confronting the waitress with the "mistake" she tried to brush me off, trying to fool me into thinking there was nothing wrong with the bill. After wasting my time arguing with her she started to lower the bill. It was hilarious to see how she suddenly began extracting things from the bill yet still not reaching the right price.
