Ai Vicoli — Restaurant in Territorio Val d'Adige

thumbs up first: location. That is all. the rest is bad, quite the opposite of the overall rating of the place. ' 1st. The waiters. strange enough in a country with 50 mil+ tourists a year, waiters don.t speak 10 words of English ( the basics related to their job, not Shakespeare stuff).

Also, waiters take turns to ask you mechanically tutto posto,? ok, ok? and then, robotically, irrespective of the situation, you want water, dessert, coffee?... as not to forget what theyr master ordered: sell everything, don.t mind the client

2nd. za food.. Ordered a salad (not listed on the menu, that.s a 1st for me, as a tourist). they tried to explain it to me (in Italian that is... which I understand basically but not enough when hungry)...what they brought was a total b.s.. on a small plate (not even a Ikea style bowl), it was already prepared (basically a left-over salad which they brought to the table already "prepared" with salt and vinegar). As hunger pushes you sometimes, I ate it... Should have returned it, my bad

3rd. za food. Ordered a beef fillet, medium-cooked (as you do w beef), they brought it raw, almost tartar (which they serve, at less than half price).. on the side was a half of the bitter cicory/ raddichio (how gourmet is that?) and 10 small pieces of fried potatoes, supposeddly from the oven. all for a mere 27 euro.

4th. About the wine.. I went there for the wines, which they have plenty.. except that they happen to be short on what you ask (c'mon man, I am probably one of the 3 people out of 50 million who order a Cabernet in Italy).. so they force you on a more expensive one..

The end. Don.t go there. The much touted authentic Trentino gusto is a fake... Bland food, overpriced.. Wine ok, but expensive.. pour le connaisseurs they have on the menu 1.000 euro wines, and a particularly especciale 7.000 euro (7k) champagne... though you have to order come un...

Went to this restaurant by coincidence. The menu is in Italian but with the assistance of the staff, he orders exactly the meal that we want. I ordered the 2nd course a fillet and braised zucchini. It was so good with the sennep/pepper sauce! The food melts in my mouth. My husband ordered a first course of pasta & he was in heaven! And after testing my food, he ordered the same. After nearly 3 weeks in Italy, this is the best dishes ever! I would highly recommend this place if anybody is stopping in Trento! Beautiful town and...

Vi dico subito che non sono più i Vicoli dei primi bei tempi. Nuova gestione e seconda volta che ci vado ma non sono per niente convinto della qualità del cibo.una parte del mio tonno aveva un sapore strano. la tartare servita senza crostini, alla na richiesta rispondono che non li hanno. Servizio senza infamia ne lode, titolare femmina un po' arrogante e fare un po' stizzito, sicuramente poco empatica. Prenotiamo e invece di metterci nella sala più bella ci rifilano nelle cantine, ambiente piacevole ma di certo non come sopra dove lasciano furbescamente tavoli liberi per clienti dell ultima ora. sedie scomodissime con elastico snervato, quindi ti senti sfondato nella seduta . Qualità dei vini discutibile. Per chiudere in bellezza , al momento di pagare la titolare ti mostra un conto precompilato evitando di fare lo scontrino ufficiale. Vergogna.

In risposta alla "gentile" risposta del titolare vorrei sottolineare che sono state semplicemente riportate le cose accadute a me ed ai miei amici durante la cena, senza alcun intento ne di discredito ne diffamatorio. Al gestore consiglio semplicemente di fare tesoro delle recensioni poco edificanti cercando con più umiltà di migliorare il proprio lavoro anche in mezzo a tutte le difficoltà che la gestione di un locale e del personale comporta. Comunque ribadisco il fare poco cortese della caposala, atteggiamento alquanto discutibile con dei clienti che in totale rispetto di chi lavora fanno delle richieste al tavolo. In quanto allo scontrino fiscale forse è meglio stendere un velo pietoso, le giustificazioni addotte sono assolutamente poco...
