It has been a very long time I didn't go in such a restaurant. The waitress, is she the boss? Hasn' t go a clue about service. No smile, no attention, nothing and if you dare saying something about the food or anything you are the one who's wrong. I ordered my entrecôte bleu. It came medium rare. We were 8 people and I just took it the way it was for not making a fuss. I paid an extra 7.50 euros for a few vegetables. (Ridiculous portion). The waitress got so upset when we asked for the bill and that we declined her offer to pay with cash. She was abnoxious because we said we wanted to pay with Visa card. I was looking for something tasty and easy to take away, and they prepared a nice combination of cold cuts (salumi) and cheeses. They included some pickled vegetables and two kinds of excellent, fresh bread to accompany.
I got a bottle of local prosecco and sparkling water and they even prepared a bag of ice for me to keep the bottles cold. I feel they went above and beyond my expectations.
Five different people helped; it was a lovely team effort. They made me feel welcome and not an inconvenience, even though they had plenty of tables with diners to attend to on a holiday evening (Ferragosto). First course: we had homemade “malfatti” with a really tasty veal-ragu, pasta perfectly al dente and ragu was on fire!
Second course we had a Entrecôte Steak perfectly cooked like ordered and a typical Italian Dish “parmigiana” which was also on point.
Bread was selfbaked and extremely fresh and Wine was great!
Would come again everytime!
