We found this restaurant by chance on Google maps and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! The pizza vegetariana was a piece of art! So many colors and tastes, every ingredient is separately prepared, all the ingredients are super fresh and it tasted amazing! The tiramisu was also very good, original, made with good quality ingredients and not too sweet. The Chef has over 40 years of experience, cooks everything with love and the I find the menu super creative. The place is owned by a nice couple who put so much effort in every little detail which I find makes also the experience super nice and authentic. I definitely recommend!

Ho scelto Osteria ai Frati per trascorrere il pranzo di Pasqua con mio figlio, non conoscendo affatto il posto, ma facendomi convincere dai toni gentili del proprietario. La location è piccola ma molto curata, dalla quale si può ammirare un bellissimo panorama di Trento. Spazio esterno molto bello soprattutto fruibile nella bella stagione. Appena arrivati siamo stati accolti da un meraviglioso aperitivo di benvenuto, in una saletta che ci ha permesso di interagire con gli altri ospiti del locale... insomma ho avuto la sensazione di respirare aria di casa... Il pranzo è stato ricco e molto ricercato, soprattutto nella scelta di materie prime d'eccellenza... Davvero encomiabili la lasagnetta al ragù di agnello e la panna cotta, certamente la migliore mai assaggiata prima! L'attenzione al cliente è notevole, il proprietario ha rispettato perfettamente la mia richiesta di eliminare il formaggio dai miei piatti (richiesta fatta qualche giorno prima al telefono). Insomma, una bella sorpresa, molto al di sopra delle aspettative. I proprietari sono persone d'esperienza che hanno a cuore le esigenze dei clienti, ma che non scendono a compromessi con scelte marcatamente commerciali. Volevo recensire l'Osteria, anche se non lo faccio spesso, perché ritengo che sia un locale che lo meriti e a cui auguro grande fortuna.

Ein absolutes Highlight für den Gaumen! Der anstrengende Aufstieg aus der Altstadt (ca. 18 Minuten) wird mit einer grandiosen Aussicht und einem hervorragendem Essen sowie einer aufmerksamen und freundlichen Gastgeberin belohnt. Das Ambiente im Innenraum wirkt italienisch stilvoll, der Außenbereich ist jedoch das eigentliche Highlight. Vor allem im Sonnenuntergang lassen sich dort die mit Liebe zubereiteten Speisen und Getränke genießen. Essen und Trinken: Bestellt haben wir zwei Aperol sowie eine hausgemachte Carbonara und eine lasagneähnliche Pasta. Vor dem eigentlichen Hauptgang wurde ein Gruß aus der Küche gereicht. Beide Gerichte waren ein absolutes Erlebnis auf der Zunge! Zu den Speisen wurde ein bunter Brötchenkorb gereicht. Die Brötchen selbst wurden durch ein Körnerkissen auf Temperatur gehalten. Die Liebe zum Detail wird in dieser Osteria groß geschrieben! Für das gebotene Essen sowie das Ambiente sind die Preise mehr als akzeptabel. Wir sind nach wie vor begeistert und waren mit Sicherheit nicht das letzte Mal in dieser wunderbaren Osteria zu Gast!

My worse review yet, the owner (who was/is also the chef) had a bad day, he was yelling to his employees and treating them bad. I waited for 2 hours until I got my food and aprox 20 min until I was asked if I want something to drink; and it wasn't even that busy.

When my order was brought up, they recognized the delay and apologized for them yet each time I wanted to ask them about the status, they were ignoring me by looking busy (maybe the language was a barrier). By the way, the food was so hot that I actually burned by tongue. It was not that tasty either...and I ordered grilled fish with vegetables..

It was my last evening in Italy and it was the worse.

Never go back...

This place seriously won my heart! The pizza we had is absolutely delicious. A lot of effort and fresh ingredients goes into the food, but the real stars are Sabina and Walter who not only created a restaurant with a lot of personal touches but also try to take the time to get to know their customers and give the place a real feeling of being welcomed not as customer but as a guest. I can only recommend to visit this place when you are in Trento and maybe you will feel like me afterwards to share this experience with a review. I will definitely be back again! Ciao & Mille...
