It was soooo long that I did not eat so well that I almost forgot what it means. In the time in which everyone thinks to be able to cook professionally, thanks God there are restaurants like this to remind us that the good cuisine is something for professionals. We took a degustation menu and we passed from heaven to heaven until we arrived to the dessert. I would not be able to say what I liked most because every dish became soon a favorite but the more I think the more I tend to believe that the antipasto with the carne salada involtini and the caramelized onions will be stack in my memory for long. The service was absolutely excellent, friendly but private, full of information but sober. The atmosphere of the place is elegant with a touch of art, the wine was superb. Il libertino is a place that take care of your soul as much as your appetite and both go home feeling in peace because of what you experienced and looking forward to the next occasion. Under new management and chef since early 2024. In my opinion, they have a long journey towards excellence in terms of harmony, intensity of flavours and attention to details. But every dish was OK, nothing below sufficiency. On the positive side, pasta and meats were cooked very well, showing that there is some skill among the kitchen brigade, on which to build for the future.
