Green Tower — Restaurant in Territorio Val d'Adige

I came here alone on a Thursday evening and got a table outside without a reservation. The staff was friendly, though not very attentive to details. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful and gave the impression of fine dining, but unfortunately, the flavors didn’t quite match that level.

The millefoglie with carne salada looked great, but the strong cheese, sweet sauce, and fennel overpowered the meat. The handmade gnocchetti were overcooked and heavy, with a watery tomato sauce. On the bright side, the truffle bites were excellent.

Sitting outside wasn’t very relaxing due to traffic and loud pop music. However, I appreciated the thoughtful touch of glass condiment jars and a small surprise from the house, part of a partnership with the HI Hotel.

Abbiamo cenato mangiando la pizza in sei. Avendo letto alcune recensioni negative ho voluto comunque provare il locale anche per verificare la veridicità di tali recensioni. Come struttura il locale si trova in un seminterrato, il clima era buono, non ho patito ne caldo ne freddo. L'arredamento è di tipo classico, nulla di speciale. Il coperto era uno di quei punti critici che ho trovato in varie recensioni per via del prezzo eccessivo. Alla fine si è rivelato di 2 euro, non poco per aver mangiato solo la pizza, ma il problema più grave non era tanto il costo, ma la qualità. Il mio bicchiere (che tra l'altro non è stato tolto dalla tavola quando ho deciso di prendere una weissen) era sporco. Pochi secondi dopo che ci siamo accomodati si presenta il (figlio?) del titolare a chiedere se volevamo un aperitivo, al quale abbiamo tutti rifiutato. Qualche minuto dopo, evidentemente sorpreso del fatto di non aver voluto l'aperitivo, si ripresenta questa volta il titolare a richiedere nuovamente l'aperitivo al quale abbiamo tutti rifiutato una seconda volta. Aggiungo che dopo pizza e dolce ritorna il boss a chiederci un Moscato passito, evidentemente voleva cazzarci qualcosa prima della fine della cena, ma non ci è riuscito. Trovo che questo venire a offrire bevande senza che nessuno te le richieda e poi le metta nel conto a 4 euro (come ho letto in altre recensioni e verificato sul menù) sia un comportamento scorretto, da BARBONE. Imparate da altri gestori, che se proprio ci tengono a farti bere il loro aperitivo te lo portano senza richiederlo ma poi NON lo trovi nel conto, oppure quando vai a pagare ti offrono un digestivo. Nella scelta della pizza il menù era corto, pochi gusti, mancavano quelle più semplici e classiche, i prezzi un po' troppo cari. Ho ordinato una trentina, come gusto a mio parere troppa mozzarella ammucchiata nel centro, lucanica a pezzi troppo grandi e pochissimi, il gorgonzola quasi non l'ho sentito. Nota di merito la lievitazione. 9 euro comunque non giustificati nel complessivo. Infine il dolce, una lista questa volta sufficiente, ho preso un tartufo nero, mi è stato servito su un ampio piatto con un filo di crema e una pallina di panna con due fette sottili di fragola. Anche in questo caso i banali artifici non giustificano 5,5 euro. Totale conto per quello che ho preso io 21,5 euro. Ordered at veg pizza..like 10 Euros hardly any cheese. Surprisingly only 1 side of tomatoes and extra for aubergines & squash. Did not find it appealing as it felt raw. As tourists we just randomnly walked in after a trek but felt unwelcomed. I understand there is an unspoken pressure from the waiters to order more and the other table - (old italian couple) were off judging us for carrying a fanny pack, tees and shorts? as if its a crime.
