Ristorante Pizzeria alla Torre di Pai — Restaurant in Torri del Benaco

Worst food I have had in Italy in the past 30 years! We went there for dinner with several families, and it was a complete disaster from start to finish. Right when we arrived, the waiters made us feel completely unwelcome.

The organization in this restaurant is a total mess: The starter arrived 30 minutes after everyone else had already received their main courses. Even worse, some persons in our group only got their main courses a full hour later, when everyone else was already done eating.

The food itself is a disgrace to Italian cuisine. Poor quality, carelessly prepared, served lukewarm – and to top it off, we didn’t even get what we ordered. The taste was utterly disappointing and absolutely not worth the price.

On top of that, they played horrible music at a volume so loud we could barely have a conversation. The prices are outrageously high for what you get – it’s pure rip-off!

We strongly advise against eating here. This place damages the good reputation of Italian food culture....

Restaurant has very strong lights right by the railing between tables and lake edge which gives you feeling like eating at the dentist’s office. Asked if they could serve my grilled trout with polenta, as they served polenta with trout in sauce, obese waitor started pointing fingers to the menu saying that is absolutely not possible. Mussels were okay. Tried to move the table 40cm away from the lamp, waitress started to wave her finger at us saying no no no, cant do that because you are blocking the path. We werent blocking the path. Highlight of this idiotic place was view (not special around this area) and feeding swans some bread that was brought on the table without us asking for it and then they charged us 6 euros...

The restaurant has a beautiful location and great coffee. However, I was very disappointed by the discriminatory behavior I experienced as a Muslim from one of the staff members. I don’t know her name, but she’s tall with very short hair. You can clearly see how she smiles and interacts nicely with everyone else, but when I ask her for something, she completely ignores me until I repeat my request then responds with a visibly annoyed attitude.
