The food was of very high standard and everything I ate was perfect. I had the stringozzi (type of handmade pasta) all'amatriciana (tomato, bacon and onion) but when the dish came they weren't stringozzi, more like spaghettoni (big spaghetti). Value for money was great....loads on the plate, the pasta was nice and al dente, the sauce very tasty and plenty of it to coat the pasta...really enjoyed it. As for a main I went for the bistecca di vitellone (older age veal steak) and with the bone it must of been at least 700g cooked. I had it cooked rare and it was delicious, one of the best steaks I've ever had. As there were 11 of us we shared portions of chips, greens and green beans as sides and they were fine, but not a lot to go round. So why the 3 stars you must be asking??? It was the service we received. It was shocking. We ordered our food at 21:45 and I didn't get my pasta dish until 22:15. We complained and not much was done to rectify the issue. They also messed up the orders and one of my friends didn't even get her pasta dish...plus her young 5 year old son was starving and all they ordered for him was just pasta with olive oil and cheese. Crazy. The meat dishes came a bit quicker, but by then the damage was done. They didn't even offer anything on the house to apologise and we were all a bit annoyed by that. Odd because I know this place has been much better in the past...and it wasn't lack of staff as there were plenty of people serving and in the kitchen. Renewed place, very clean, big and comfortable tables with traditional table cloths, very gentle and simpatic staff.
