La Casereccia Bar Ristorante Pizzeria — Restaurant in Trecchina

It was raining and we were hungry and didn't know if there would be any open restaurants nearby, and then we saw a sign to La Casareccia. It is well signed all the way from the main road, up a hill. It is open all year round, and even though it looked closed when we arrived, the waiter popped his head out of the door and invited us in.

He offered us a selection of pastas, although they have pizzas on the menu too. We shared two, the fusilli al ragù, and the ravioli di burro e salvia (butter and sage). The ravioli are homemade and although the combination sounds a bit plain, it works and is delicious. You don't get a lot of ravioli though. The fusilli was a much bigger, more filling dish, very good pasta.

The decoration was homely and the waiter friendly and did what he could to provide us with what we wanted. It maybe could have done with some quiet music rather than the TV, but a TV makes it feel a bit more authentically like an Italjan...

Abbiamo prenotato telefonicamente per il pranzo del giorno dopo, poi la mattina stessa durante il tragitto (200Km) abbiamo richiamato x dire che per l'ora dell'appuntamento saremmo stati puntuali, inoltre successivamente mentre ci recavano alla trattoria, giusto x eccesso di zelo dato che eravamo tre coppie di amici con relativi figli piccoli che necessitavano di mettere qualcosina nel pancino, abbiamo richiamato x dire che stavamo arrivando......ma quando siamo arrivati udite....udite: nessuno sapeva nulla della nostra prenotazione, eppure il tipo con il quale abbiamo parlato al telefono era lo stesso che era li a darci la brutta notizia, il numero del locale era quello giusto e Lui in completo imbarazzo non sapeva dire altro che " non so come sia potuto succedere". Disagio assoluto, ma per fortuna sotto nostro consiglio ha chiamato un ristorante vicino chiedendo la disponibilità e per fortuna...

Finalmente un ristorante dove gustare le specialità della zona a prezzi eccezionali!La location è al fresco con vista montagne,sotto un portico in legno,rustico e romantico,tranquillo,silenzioso...Giuseppe e un padrone di casa delizioso che ama i frutti della sua terra e descrive il menu con amore in maniera impeccabile...stessa gentilezza il ragazzo che porta i piatti...cucina ottima pasta fatta in casa,noi abbiamo preso quella con porcini. ,ottima,ma assaggeremo anche le altre.Lo spezzatino loro con patate morbido e squisito l abbacchio loro con patate super...un dolcetto tipico del posto mai sentito prima...insomma questo è il ristorante per eccellenza che abbiano scoperto pur essendo già pratici di maratea e dintorni...penso ceneremo qui per i giorni restanti...straconsigliato....a noi lo ha indicato il gestore dell agriturismo dove soggiornano...
